I have been reading and following the forum on many different threads and thought I would share my experiences with RBS

12/09/06

Wrote requesting refund of charges and enclosed schedule to local branch sent by recorded delivery

27/09/06

LBA sent to local branch

13/10/06

Response from branch claiming to have no knowledge of my original letter and offering to investigate if I sent details

09/11/06

Sent original letter ,schedule of charges, follow up letter in which I expressed dissappointment at the poor response

21/11/06

Letter received today offering £1540 as full and final settlement !!!!!!!!!!!!

The amount (before interest) that I was claiming was £2190.

How easy is that and all dealt with at local branch

Very nice,. The banks are starting to learn.

However, they will pay you the lot if you persevere.

It is up to you and of course only you know whether you need the money very badly. However, if you can afford to wait a little, then press on.
