Hey guys hoping you can help.

Perfect home causing me no end of problems.

firstly I changed address two months ago,

emailed perfect home (still have the email) and got no response,

I got a really angry call from my dad today saying perfect home had been at my door.

My current balance is £21.22 outstanding.

The man drove all the way from Glasgow so a 100 mile round trip for £20.

It's caused no end of grief with my parents as I've had debt problems previously and actually managed to get on top of most of it, but now obviously they doubt my honesty which is really frustrating.

(in their defence as they said "why would someone drove all the way from Glasgow for £20" something I'm yet to figure out)

I've called perfect home and updated my address,

also removed their implied right of access to both property's. I

s there anything else I can do?

I've been paying £45 a month for a ps4 since last October and I currently still have £580 to pay!

That's two more brand new ps4's

I just want nothing more to do with them,

they have embarrassed me and my family and haven't at all been helpful.

The man on the phone said the home visit was "too help me"

Anything else you can help with or offer advise id really appreciate it.

well tell your dad they aren't bailiffs and have no legal powers whatsoever

no point in following the useless implied rights stuff on those freeman of the land sites either

total waste of time.

WRITE to PH and legally tell them of your new address

I bet if you reclaim all the compulsory insurances you owe them nothing

and get back the unlawful penalty fees too

and I bet they charged your account with a visit fee aswell.

  • 1 year later...

Hey guys hopefully someone can help me.

I'm currently going through the process just now of trying to get a mortgage (very early stages)

my mortgage advisor pointed out that perfect home had not logged a default on my credit file but instead had it marked down as a late payment,

it's been like this for 14 months now,

she advised maybe we could catch it before the mistake is realised and obviously knock it off.

I contacted perfect home who advised the debt had been sold to JCI accusation, who then sold it to imfs, imfs offered me 50% off the settlement and I have accepted and cleared this (i don't dispute the debt btw)

This was cleared on the 30th of April and as yet absolutely nothing has changed on credit file,

I have contacted perfect home who have been absolutely useless to be honest.

Perfect home say they haven't received anything to say the debt has been paid and Futher to this are just planning to mark is as defaulted anyway which sort of has made paying it a bit of a waste of time.

Is there absolutely anything I can do to rectify this or to have any kinda of outcome here where the default isn't logged.

I should say as well I've already tried disputing the information on credit file with two agency's and have received a flat no that the info is correct and that it shall remain, even though it isn't correct.

Any help is greatly appreciated

who is IMFS?

old and new threads merged

you should have sorted this in 2017, but you appear to have just vanished.

has the mortgage lender told you it will help your situation?

if you mean the marker is showing [1] for 14 mths then its just a single late marker

he shouldn't be paying attention to that at all

or does the summary line just say late payment

[he shouldn't have access to the monthly calendar markers anyway ...unless you gave him a full copy of your file??}

They are completely different items, the one I mentioned previously is paid in full so i may have vanished but they are unrelated 👌

Well it's one less potential default, the summery line says late payment, it keeps ticking over month by month. I gave them full copies.

opps you should never give them info they cant find themselves.

would of though you'd have learned your lesson in 2017 to stop using these treble the price on credit companies !!

a late payment marker should not harm a mortgage at all.

id be more interested in where your money has gone...

probably paid for a staff holiday for whomever IMFS are?

I'm sure your just trying to help but your assuming I've just went and taken out another item, I had them both at the time, I don't need any education on how terrible these company's are 👌

IMFS bought the debt from JC international or whatever they are called.

pass the parcel.

what ever made you think paying a powerless dca was ever going to help you?

a dca is NOT a bailiff

and have

ZERO legal powers.

how long ago did you pay them?

and how

did they phone you up or you phoned them?

have you a copy of the settlement letter and proof you paid it?

that might encourage your mortgage lender to ignore the debt.

a late payment marker is far better than a default !!

I know this. I phoned them, I was happy to pay it. End of April.

Yeah I have it in writing that it is settled.

It is I agree,

but there's absolutely nothing stopping that being changed to a default surely?

They should have done it over a year ago, would paying it now make any difference?

If not it's not a big deal, wasn't much.

Just thought paying it might be a bit of a preventive measure should they notice that it is listed incorrectly.

in the calendar section

these 14mts

are they all showing [1] or does it progress to 6 and its been that way for months?

so PH have sold the debt

a debt is typically defaulted before sale to a debt buyer regardless to any markers if there is an outstanding debt.

not that I can see

a late payment flag is certainly better than a default.

unless the defaulted date should have been almost 6 yrs ago and if registered then, would soon cause the whole account entry to vanish from your file.

the fact that you paid it, is of little matter, unless the mortgage advisor would rather see proof of it being settled??

pers i'd say he is using this to poss bump up your mortgage rate.

we've seen defaults ignored before so a late payment marker should not even be a problem to him.

if this were me i'd be demanding the fleecers you paid this debt off too remove it totally but me thinks that's not gonna happen.

the only ref I can find is:

Thank you for all that, really helpful.

Yeah I think it's just to help us both get a slightly better rate to be honest, don't think it's a deal breaker.

Yeah I think that's them, spoke to them a few weeks ago and just referred me back to perfect home so a dead end there.

I'll just leave it as is,

the last thing I want is to push perfect home too much and they just retroactivity put on the on the default marker,

if they were gonna do it I'm sure they would have by now.

JC international are a debt buyer

I cant see how PH still own the account now so cant default you.

have you not previously gotten notice of assignment from JCI?

and what date was that?

who is shown as the owner on the credit file

Perfect Homes or JCI?

ive not know JCI etc to just chase

but never mind.

send PH a copy of the settlement by royal mail

I would suspect there is no marker in the calendar for MAY?
