I understand what you're saying, and I'm aware a DCA aren't a bailiff.

I suppose my attitude is,

I'm aware I obviously borrowed some money,

I feel I am at least morally obliged to not completely shaft my responsibility.

Also, I'm pretty worried about going through the court process

(I suffer badly with anxiety etc, I don't get out much)

and don't want a CCJ on my report if they did happen to produce something enforceable,

especially since defaults etc are due to start dropping off soon.

Doesn't help I'm not massively informed on the process

- as in, at what stage I'd get a CCJ,

"you can always tomlin it if it looks like its not going your way which is no diff to thinking about paying it now leaves no markers and doesn't result in a CCJ."

Ok, see, this is the sort of thing I don't know about, the process.

If I knew more about that, and know what my back up plan is,

I'd be inclined to worry less and just let it run.

I've had a look around, but have yet to find the process in layman terms.

I don't suppose you know of good article or forum post regards that?

I have read through some, but I'm still a bit confused.

Thanks.

forget the morality of having money and supposedly not paying it back

you have already 100 times by the interest the OC charged.

I would seriously forget about it now.

if/when a claimform arrives then we'll deal with it.

there are many many letters and hoops they have to legally jump through before it gets anywhere near that happening

it cant make the debt comeback on your file that's for sure.

and even IF IF IF you lose you've still got 28 days to arrange to pay it so the CCJ doesn't hurt you.

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
