War hero who lost both legs in Afghanistan no longer allowed treatment at English hospital because he's Scottish

A soldier whose legs were blown off in Afghanistan will no longer get treatment in England – because he’s Scottish.

Callum Brown, 28, endures horrific pain every day from the injuries he suffered in a bomb blast six years ago.

But the former soldier has been left stunned after medics at a hospital for military casualties told him he could no longer go there because he doesn’t live in England.

He even fears the decision could cost him his life because he will no longer have access to the specialist treatment available at the hospital

Non Story? He has not been denied medical treatment in England but Health provision is a Scottish devolved power, hence NHS England need to ask NHS Scotland for continued funding of treatment in an English hospital which is ~500 miles away.

QE Birm continues to treat many severely injured British soldiers returned to the UK from rest of the World.

I assume his condition is now stable and can be maintained closer to home.

Doctors do have access to the Internet, video conferencing & skype.

A lot of MS sufferers have to resort to 'illegal' cannabis.
