NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

It depends.

 

If they have provided you with a personal loan (unsecured) : they don't own the car, so no.

If you bought the car on HP, they own the car until you have made the last payment, so (possibly), yes.

 

There are potentially other factors (such as how much of the finance you have paid off) that might come into play too, so (as dx has asked already) ; what is the full story (including type of finance, payment history, communications from the finance company since the payment problems).
