Hi

I have old debts ranging from £11k to £200, around £30k total.

All have been sold on to DCAs, some debts moved on 4 times.

Even on £7k debts I only pay £1 to £5 per month and there is no pressure from any DCA to pay more.

Most of these debts defaulted in 2006/7 and I am unsure whether to keep going basically forever with this or should I question the debts?

hi troughmonster

Given that you have been a member of this forum since 2009..I am really quite shocked that you would need to ask this question ?

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

For the benefit of the OP - Sometimes it isnt immediately obvious that there are being taken for granted.

As you have been paying, they wont be Stat Barred - however you can challenge them on their enforceability.

List all of your debts here - and we will go through each one with you :)

DCA isnt pushing for more because theyre laughing at you, because you are giving them money blindly, and without question. Especially since most have been passed around multiple times.

Theyre saying to each other... "here, try this mug. We've had a few thousand of him, fancy some easy cash?"

Any advice i give is my own and is based solely on personal experience. If in any doubt about a situation , please contact a certified legal representative or debt counsellor..

Well, thanks all for your critique of my shortcomings when it comes to dealing with this.

I didn't think this was a site for that, but wrong again!

Wish I was as clever as some of you.

well you've been had blind

so CCA request to them too.

and in less than 1 month you could stop paying all that fail to comply with an enforceable agreement.

[they have 12+2 WORKING DAYS] to return the signed enforceable agreement]
