Hi guys,

I have a similar questions.

I was foolish enough to leave the UK in Feb 2014 with mobile phone contracts debts of no more than GBP 2,500 due to expiry of PSW visa. I did pay a minimal amount back.

However, now my company wants me to visit UK for a business trip (3-4 days). I am in process of applying for a visit visa - business and was hoping to find out if my visa will be rejected due to debts or CCJ.

I tried to check if I have a CCJ through Experian sometime ago but the address I lived in was locked (basically they couldn't provide any details and send a letter saying someone tried to check to the address).

do not know if I have a CCJ and will I have any problems in getting a visa.

Would appreciate your help.

Regards,

Baz

CCJ 's are civil debts

cant hurt you at all

please don't hit Quote...just type we know what we said earlier..

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

Thank you.

Can the debt collection company issue a CCJ in my absence.

Lets say the landlord told them that I was no longer in the UK?

Also is there a way to find out if I have a CCJ?

and if yes,

will I have an issue obtaining a visa?

As part of my visa application,

our partner firm in UK issued a letter that I was visiting for 3 - 4 days for a business trip and that I am well known to them and stand in good stature.

Thanks in advance.

Baz

This was under the travel and criminal history section

"HAVE YOU HAD ANY UK COURT JUDGEMENT AGAINST

YOU FOR NON-PAYMENT OF A DEBT, OR RECEIVED A

CIVIL PENALTY UNDER UK IMMIGRATION ACTS?"

Thank you for this.

The form I am completing is an online form so slightly different but the question 6.12 is identical. Actually on the online form the questions is under travel and criminal history section.

In your opinion and from your experience, will I have issues in obtaining a business visit visa in case I have a CCJ ?

Baz
