Hello when we took out my mortgage in 1998 we had a mortgage adviser through William H brown

They set up ppi for the mortgage which I think they said we had to have to get the mortgage,

the mortgage is set up in joint names with my wife ,

my wife is self employed & was at the time of taking out the mortgage

, she is also diabetic & was at the time of taking out the mortgage

They set up an endowment with rsa as well (which I was mis sold)

Is there any chance we could claim for misselling or is it to far back

And any other insurance apart from buildings that they made you takeout

That is unless you already had it

Would we contact royal sun alliance first as the insurance was taken over by aviva about 10 yrs ago

Aviva are very good with old PPI claims.

So it's just a case of using the letter template off MSE & sending it to aviva & royal sun alliance

we have them too..

pers i'd be getting all the details via an sar first

if you don't know it all

then p'haps using and sending the FOS customer questionnaire

rather than a speculative letter

which will get a speculative reply.

What would I have to send with the sar ,

I've read that you need to send a payment & copies of passport,utility bill etc ?

Also do yo know the address for royal sun alliance regarding sending the sar

just wanted to have a go myself rather than use a claims company!

claims Co's have no more clout than you or I!!

and the disadvantage that you lose anything upto 30% + VAT to them. [some are even more]
