DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...

  • 3 weeks later...

I am now starting to get letters and phone calls from Cabot saying "This account was with our solicitors but we have decided to not pursue legal action at this time. Please contact us to arrange payment options. We need to hear from you in the next 30 days."

Should I be getting in touch with them?

I have noticed that the balance has increased since before the court claim.

It will..they have added the court fee and Sol fee...even though they discontinued....makes no odds as you wont be paying a penny anyway

ignore them.

resolvecall is the old name for scotcall or snotscrawl as we used to call them.

if you do get a doorstepper, have some fun with him if you wish and get your mobile out and film him.

don't engage, simply tell him to leave you property and not to return else you will call police 101.

just remember the golden rules.

a DCA is not and can never be a BAILIFF.

and have

ZERO legal powers on any debt no matter what it's type

Not impossible...providing they get the courts permission...but in reality very rarely ever happens.

No.... ignore time.......they will give up and move on to the next gullible.

Under Conc 7.15.4

Notwithstanding that a debt may be recoverable, a firm must not attempt to recover a statute barred debt in England, Wales or Northern Ireland if the lender or owner has not been in contact with the customer during the limitation period.

Even under Conc 7.15. 5

if they have regularly been in touch they can continue to pursue...defining regularly may be open to interpretation.

If the lender or owner has been in regular contact with the customer during the limitation period, the firm may continue to attempt to recover the debt.

Make what you will of the above...but easier to just ignore
