Default RBS Packaged account fees reclaim......**+1600 won**

Having reclaimed the PPIicon on my RBSicon overdraft earlier this year see here

It recently became aware that perhaps I had a claim regarding a miss sold packaged account
as I was told that I had to have this account to have the overdraft facility that I wanted.....

dropped a letter in the post a week last Friday,

today I received a lettericon agreeing that was the case and approx 1600 in fees and interest will be in my account within 3 days of the date of the letter....

Quickest, easiest reclaim ever, one letter, 2 weeks, done and dusted.......

    Hi

I had a similar experience with the co op bank. Initially rejected my claim so went to Ombudsmanicon. They then looked at it again and refunded 510. Sadly they just kept the money to pay off some of my loan with them. Sad really as the 7000 PPIicon last year was paid to me. Never mind victory.

    Hi tc5712

Put it in a letter, send it off, and they will probably reject it. Then send your final responseicon letter to the fosicon and then wait. It only took me from initial letter to offer of money about 8 weeks. I also got 8% interest. It's worth it. All the help I have had on here has given me the confidence to fight for my rights.
Going after welcome through the courts next!!

i tried to reclaim my RBSicon account fees, but the bank said ridiculously that I should have known there where fee-free accounts as I previously had another bank account in the UK!...eh yes, one i opened in 1978!! Anyway, i had to go to the Ombudsmanicon, I sent off all the details, and this week they sent me a form, which is not specific to my case, but generic, almost like a survey. Asking me to outline my case in more detail. All I would be doing is repeating what I already told them. Now I am suspicious that if I give the 'wrong' answers, they will throw my case out. Anyone had this form? If so, any advice would be appreciated. thx

The form is generic and as I understand it - there are no wrong answers. Just truthful ones.

It might be a good idea if you were to start your own thread.

Hi, can I ask on what grounds you could request a refund?

I had a key account for quite a few years, and they talked me into a Gold then Platinum account as they said the Key account had no bearing with them as a proper account so I wouldn't be able to apply for a credit card etc with them whilst I had the Key account.

    Thanks

    JJ
