Hello guys,

noticed this column. my car hit a pothole and tyre damaged. Just called tfl and they told me to contact gallagher bassetts!!

FYI, if you tripped on a pavement, you should seek a claim against the person or body responsible for that pavement. In this case, the Council. You sue them for damages. Sue them for negligence, and in my opinion, a breach of contract. End of.

Whether the works for that pavement were subcontracted is not your problem. Let the council get the money out of the people they hired.

Better still, sue both the council and the subcontractor at the same time as joint parties. for both negligence and breach of contract. The breach of contract would be that there was a contract that the pavement / road would be for safe use. I know that bit is a long shot, but you've already got the negligence bit covered.
