Hi ,

please help

 

in 2011 around july Vodafone charged me £95 on my bill which l disputed as my contract was about 25£ a month ,

 

they told me l went over the limit which l still disagreed as l knew it wouldn't have been that much ,

 

they then disconnected my phone ,

which l then contacted them to end my contract if they didn't seem to have any solution about my bill ,

 

After four months l then got a letter from Vodafone saying they have disconnected my phone and l owed a £441 bill

 

still l contacted them wondering how my bill had gone from £95 to £441,

 

they told me it was monthly charges , and cancelation fee ,

 

which l did not understand how this went up to £441

unless assuming there were still charging me for a phone which was disconnected

even though l had told them to cancel it if they did not seem to have a solution for my bill

 

therefore they put a default on me in May last year

 

Beginning of this year l received a letters from Lowell buying my vodafone bill which l have ignored

because l though t it must have been fraud,

 

today l have received a letter from fredrickson

stating they have been authorised by Lowell to secure repayment debt,

and that l should contact them as soon as possible to discuss this matter ,

 

if lm unable to come to an agreement with them on behalf of their client,

they intend to instruct Bryan Carter Solicitors LLP

to take legal action against me to recover the debt

 

they state if proceedings are issued additional charges will be claimed

which will increase the existing balance that is ;

an extra £30 court fees and Solicitor cost £50 which in total it will be £521.86

 

please help ;

 

l have no idea what to do now

How did you raise the dispute with Vodafone - by letter / email or phone ?

 

We are seeing quite a lot of credit files trashed by Vodafone and Lowells appear to have purchased quite a few of the delinquent accounts.

 

If this were me I would, in the first instance write to Lowells / Frederickson and advise there was an unresolved dispute with Vodafone and you do not believe you owe this much. You would need to advise that you have written to Vodafone asking how they have arrived at this sum and that you will vigorously defend any litigation that Lowells attempt.

 

I would then send a Subject Access Request to Vodafone - I have linked you to a draft letter below. You will need to send £10.00 with the request. It is a request for ALL data in respect of your relationship with them. You should expect to receive statements - a log of telephone contact between you and them with notes as to the content of the call , and any other information that would help you identify how they have turned a £95.00 bill into a £450.00 debt ! They have 40 calendar days to respond. You should add in to the request below that you also require statements for the entire length of your relationship with them, that way you should be able to work out how they have arrived at such an inflated sum. :)

please help l have had problems with the company called Lowell

telling me they have bought my account from Vodafone ,

in which l did not do anything about it as Vodafone put a default on my report last may 2012 ,

it was after failing to pay my bill over dispute of the charges

 

today l have been checking my report and found that l now have a default from Lowell on the 16/09 2013

are these people allowed to put a default on my account

do l need to get legal advice

 

l am still in dispute of my bill

no doubt about that as l feel things could have been dealt with better than they did

 

this is what l found on my report

 

when my bill started it was about £95 which l was disputing ,

my phone was disconnected and

 

when l called Vodafone l asked them to cancel the contract which seems they didn't cancel the contract

until a few months after and

 

this year l got a letter from Lowell saying they bought my debt which was £441

 

the past weekend l received a letter from fredrickson saying they are working for Lowell

l needed to pay the bill otherwise they will forward this matter to their solicitors bryan carter ,

which then l put a post on here , l did use the advice of sending a letter fredrickson.

 

but what do l do about this default ,

l am at a breaking point as l feel this is all Vodafone's fault

 

at the same time does Lowell have the right to put default in my account

as l already had a default with Vodafone from beginning f last year

 

where can l get legal advice about these issue ,

l am waiting for Vodafone to send me the copies of my bills from that time ,

and l will be disputing it and l don't know how they could let these people do this

 

they have actually emotional made my life hell

 

please help

your debt is showing twice

this should no be so

and the Lowell default date should be the SAME as the VODA one.

 

so your need to get that sorted through lee.

 

you don't need any legal advice

 

if you have a read in this telecoms forum

you'll this happens quite frequently.

 

lee shold be able to sort everything for you

including the fact that you have a dispute over a closed contract

that did not actually happen.

Hi everyone , bryan carter is back again , in November l writing a letter to fredickson , l received a letter from them and l did not hear anything from them again until today when l receive a letter from bryan carter

I have attached both letters

please help, what can l do about this ,

The attachments you posted are too small. Please cleanse them of all identifying data and use this method to repost them.

 

**you can post up images/letters by this method immediately..you don't need 10 posts**

set your default scan page size to A4 less than 300DPI [150 will do]

scan the required letters/agreements/sheets - as a picture[jpg] file

don't forget you can use a mobile phone or a digital camera too!!

BUT......

ENSURE: remove all pers info inc. barcodes etc

but leave all monetary figures and dates.

convert existing PC files to PDF [office has an installable print to PDF option]

you have many images too rather than many single pdfs

or if you have PDF as an installed printer drive use that

or use word and save as pdf

try and logically name your file so people know what it is.

though dont use full bank names or CAGlink31.gif in the title

i'e Default notice DDlink3.gif-mm-yyyy TSB

open a new msg box here

hit go advanced below the msg box

hit manage attachments below that box

hit the add files button on the top right

hit select files, navigate to your file on your pc

hit upload files

...

YOU DONT have to put a link to the attachment in the msg box..just upload it ..job done
