Hello,

Just talked to my solicitor and he told me that if the claim is over 750 you have to do it another way than small claims. Mine is 3,500.00. He told me that he would do the filing on it for me because that amount you cannot do it yourself. Does anyone have any other advice or idea? I really want to get this going now.

Any advice for filing in Scotland to someone who has done it would be helpful. Or I will just go thru him and let him file for me.

Also this is a small business account

Hi Firey,

I have a Business Account in Edinburgh with the Bank of Scotland.

I have just sued them for £720 plus interest plus court fee £39.

My claim was settled in full last week.

I did everthing myself through this site. I believe you can claim for up to £1,500.00 in Scotland using Summary Cause.

That's the route I'll be going next.

When I mentioned this to my Lawyer some time ago he said he did'nt believe I could sue my Bank. Sometimes lawyers have'nt a clue what they are talking about.

My advice would be to do it yourself. Bugger paying a lawyer.

Anyway, best wishes.

Scott.

Any advice I give is honest and in good faith.:)

If in doubt, you should seek the opinion of a Qualified Professional.

Whatever I post is my opinion and should be taken as such, an opinion. While it is what I believe and is offered in good faith, it should not be taken as a statement of truth
