Hi

I have received an offer for my charges plus the court fees but not the interest. They have also asked me to keep quiet. After deliberation for a week or so I have decided to decline as a matter of principal. The interest is only £20 but I firmly believe that I need to stand ground. The charges are unenforceable by law therefore why should I keep quiet. The banks are in the wrong. They now have until 3rd Oct to reply with FULL refund or it goes to court on the 10th October. I am suspecting that others claiming from RBS have settled and have been told to say nothing hence why there may be no success cases on this website. Keep positive and know it is because they are asking us to keep quiet.

Other cases

MBNA - offered part but my statement says they have paid the lot back ! They had asked me to sign to say I would agree with future charges - I didn't I ignored them and then magically they debited further charges back into my account !

Capital One - have paid part back - defending the rest - taking to court

Lloyds TSB - have acknowledged claim - waiting to go to court

Egg - have acknowledged claim - waiting to go to court

Halifax - with court - have until 3 October to respond

Monument - have acknowledged claim - waiting to go to court

:p

Well thanks for the donation offer, many people get their money and run, so to speak. CAG can only continue to help if we continue to receive donations.
