Hi,

I have written to RBS to ask for £1,593.00 back from fees taken. They have written back to say that they think agreed to the fees because I had the account. They have offered me £335 as a good will gesture.

Now to write and tell them that is not nearly good enough.

At what point do I request interest? At this stage or not until I have to take them to court?

Advice please

RBS have now offered me £1,078, which is about two thirds of the amount I am asking for. I am not sure what to do, it is tempting just to take the money and run, but there is part of me that is angry with the stress they put me through by taking the charges in the first place.

what should I do?

Hi Nomeo,

The decision is yours but RBS will pay the full amount eventually, and its your money they've unlawfully taken from you. Personally I held out for the full amount because of the stress and upset they caused me.
