If you had either the option of a doctors appointment or CAB which would you take? I'm thinking of asking the doctor if they could give me something to 'calm down' and get me sleeping thoughout the night which I'm starting to think I may need but desperately don't want although I think I've found the cause of what I've allowed to ruin my life for the last couple of years.

Or there is the CAB appointment hoping they can tell me I'm either right or wrong in this latest round of arguing with the creditor. Why does debt help have to be in swarhealey and suddenly everyone around you has never had any sort of problem paying a bill back or any financial trouble.

This is daft I've had my light bulb moment, manned up, admitted my mistakes, am rectifing even, paid off a big whack of my debt rather than take the easy' option.

this should be happy days but never really felt worse - I've also got into a horrible cycle of thinking of nothing else like I'm transfixed with my debts how do I break it? do you 'just walk on by and say oh never happened to me? I get moments where I feel anxious (things have to be sorted there and then) to the 'two wrongs don't make a right'

Hi. It sounds to me like you have trouble sleeping because of the stress you are feeling due to your financial situation.

A visit to the doctors won't do any harm as he/she might be able to give you something to help. But one is not a substitute for the other. If you feel CAB could help with your financial situation then go and see both.

Try and stay positive and remember you are not alone as you will already know if you've read a few threads on here.

It looks to me like you are making real progress. Keep it up. :-)

I think if you read round the forums you are not alone.

It is probably fair to say that your sleep problem has been brought about by your financial problem and is a vicious circle.

You can talk about your financial problems on CAG and obtain advice on moving forward. That might just help you with your sleeping.

Visit your doctor, just to make sure that there arent any other reasons for your sleepless nights.

If you are having problems getting a CAB appointment, then speak to an advisor at National Debtline :)
