Natural England intends to recommend to the Secretary of State that the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks be enlarged by a combined area of nearly 500km Sq

I live in the Lake District and if they people in Yorkshire have any say in the matter they should vote no. The national park body is mainly an unelected board of well paid busybodies who have made things difficult for local people living in the National Park. Over the years they have prevented houses being built and stopped employment coming in to the area, all they want is for the area to stay like a picture post card of the past a rural haven for people to come and marvel at but not actually live in.

I am not surprised, Dartmoor National Park is much the same. It's run by people who have moved to the countryside to see cows but not smell them!
