I sent my Prelim letter on 11th August, heard nothing - so on 29th sent LBA to the branch by special delivery (they would have definitely got that on the 30th.)

Today 1st Sept. I have rec'd a letter dated 30th August from Edinburgh offering 50% settlement with the conditions- full and final settlement & any future charges that accrue must stand. So this letter was in reply to the prelim but arrived at the 11th hour.

HELP!!! I want to accept the 50% offer, as I am skint. But I want to pursue the full amount. However, I have already sent an LBA, as there was a crossing over of letters. Should I, sign the acceptance but cross out the conditions, or write a completely new letter.

Do you think they will pay out the 50% offer asap if I continue to pursue the whole amount?

Can anyone help please.
