    Default Council tax problem

I have a flat which I rent out, which I bought in 2006. I've never lived in it and it has been rented since just after I bought it.

Last year I got a bill for 2006-7 for 140 outstanding council tax, which I didnt think was right as it was unfurnished until it was rented out, but the agent paid it.

Have just had another bill for 130 for the same period. Dont know how that can be possible!

Any advice? Anytime I have spoken to the they have been less than helpful!

write the council a letter asking to explain the bill as you have already just paid an additional backdate sum.
