i just got a quote for motor insurance on the companys website

on phoning them they wanted the latter price also

my question is can they do this basicaly advertise one price to reel you in then bump the price up?

 

i have printed out the first price as proof. do they have to honour their price even if they have made a mistake?

no, this is unfair commercial practice under CPUT you can complain to trading standards
