Getting to grips with your site as a new member, saw the request to list down information that may help others so wanted to advise that I worked at Welcome Finance for 4 years until about April 2005 within a branch involved in lending and collections, branch manager so if you want to pick my brains please feel Welcome, pardon the pun.

Saintly_1,

No thanks I am OK for now.

I myself have been using the forum site to help fight off a multitude of creditors that have started on me and no doubt will continue to do so - very helpful so far from other peoples experiences, standard letters etc.

Whilst I have over 20 years financial experience myself none of that has been spent defending myself.

Thought given my extensive knowledge of Welcome Finances operations, lending system (including selling of PPI etc) plus the way they add charges on accounts, collection techniques and so on, thought I may be able to offer some assistance back if required.

Cheers for now

  • 2 months later...

Hi I would like to introduce myself with my first message.:p

Having been a senior bank employee with a local Northern Irish Bank for 8 years I have been out of the "scene" for a while and am so glad I am now. In "my day" customers were of greater importance and politely treated unlike a lot of banks today. Sorry Ms X whats your acc number!!!!!!! MONEY

Having said that I was duped out of 8 years of partial back pay. I was on maternity leave and was pressured regularly by staff department as they were aware that if I retired before the August (when a new banking law was coming into place) I would not have been eligible for this substantial pay-out.:!:

they were even at their work in the 80s. I was wondering if any senior officials today have any idea if I could recoup this money back.

Also I was paying into a work pension scheme can I still claim this when my time comes? I did contact relative department but nothing was resolved.

Many thanks this may be a shot in the dark.:???:
