Sorry but am I missing something???

I'm still waiting for the stay to be lifted from my £1500 claim against RBS (ongoing since March 2007), for charges they've levied, which I believe to be illegal. A lot of the charges are because the original charges have caused other charges.

RBS, because of their greed chasing the easy money by lending irresponsibly, are finding things a little difficult so what do they do ... ask their shareholders and the Government for help. I know they only made (pre tax) £9.9 bn in 2007

£10.8 bn in 2006

£9.7 bn in 2005

£8.1 bn in 2004

so I suppose you've got to have a little sympathy for them!!!

Oh yes and their CEO Sir Fred Goodwin only earned £4.1 million in 2007, (so he's obviously feeling the pinch a bit) that's just £79,000 a week ... hang on, I am desperate for the £1500 they owe me,thats 2% of his weekly earnings.

What's wrong with this country when an institution gets whatever they want but the man-in-the-street gets knocked at every turn.

If I make a mistake and lose money will the government be there to help me?...NO WAY!!!

If I make heavy losses from a gamble will RBS be there to help me?...NO WAY!!!

***Sorry but I needed to get it off my chest!!!

THANKS

Hi Canobeans,

Had this very discussion with one of my clients today, and I have to say I whole heartedly agree with you. The major financial institutons have had it to good, for to long, and need to find out how to earn their money like the man on the street.

To many people are in to many other peoples pockets and it stinks of a cartel mentality.

Beau

Please note: I am not a lawyer and as such any advice I give is purely from a laymans point of view;-)

Hello again everyone!!!I'm still waiting...probably the same as the rest of you...in the meantime though I was just looking through this again.A quick calculation shows that the profits made in 2005/2006/2007 by RBS come to £28bn and surprise surprise we the taxpayers have bailed them out for...what was it???...oh yeah £28bn...coincidence???Also shouldn't the RBS be changing their name to the PBB (Peoples Bank of Britain)One last thing I was wondering about...if more money is printed 1) who gets it?2) where from?3) can I apply for some of it?4) won't it devalue what is already in our pockets?5) will I get into trouble if I photocopy some tenners of my own? (kidding!!)Correct me if I'm wrong but I thought that 'fictitious money' was what caused this crisis in the first place!!neil
