I wondered if there was a way to try and claim back a single fee (my first ever having been with rbs for 5 years). It was my own fault really as I didn't transfer money over to cover my DD early enough and so it went in the day after they tried to take the DD, but now I'm £38 short of the full amount due to the charge.

I tried calling the customer relation support team number but got the recorded message about the test case and how they aren't starting any more complaints... and even so it seems silly to start a complaint for one charge.

Any advice? What would other people do?

Talk to your local branch, I am under the impression that they can refund 2 charges per customer per year.

If in doubt, contact a qualified insured legal professional (or my wife... she knows EVERYTHING)

Or send a cheque or postal order payable to Reclaim the Right Ltd.

to

923 Finchley Road London NW11 7PE

Click here if you fancy an email address that shows you mean business! (only £6 and that will really help CAG)

If you can't donate, please use the Internet Search boxes on the CAG pages - these will generate a small but regular income for the site
