Thanks Wendy, you helped me alot too, much appreciated!

I replied back to them, accepting their terms, but have stated i'm not informing the court of settlement until the default is removed from Equifax, Experian and Call Credit's files, and until i receive my cheque. ;)

For everyone else reading this wanting to remove a default placed by Capital One. Key word - PERSEVERANCE. Provided your default amount is made up of charges, or they don't hold an enforceable credit agreement, go for them. They threatened me with Solictor fee's if i didn't settle without default removal, but i pressured them, and won!

Good luck!

NatWest - WON! £3350 Paid back

Vodafone - Default removed

Citicards - Judgement awarded for £1898, default remains though...for now....

Another update.

Got a letter from Crap One. Apparently the default has now been removed, going to leave it a few days then approach the CRA's to confirm.

Got a letter from the court, stating that i would need to complete an application to have the stay removed, £75. Luckily i've settled out of court already, but i fear this will happen when it comes to Citicards.

Nice win there mkandy. Did the CRA files confirm Default removal and did they remove all adverse information or mark it Satisfied i wonder?
