I had a direct debit 'bounced' and a charge applied even though there were sufficient funds in the account to cover the direct debit. The charge was cancelled the same day after I protested, but I have now incurred substantial costs as a result of the unpaid direct debit. Does anyone know where I stand on this?

Thanks.

£12 late payment fee, loss of 0% interest rate (now reinstated) and £55 interest-apparently incurred during the temporary loss of 0% interest. The credit card company were very sympathetic but say although they realise it wasn't my fault that the DD wasn't paid, it wasn't their fault either. They have advised me to take up the matter of the costs I have incurred as a result of this with my bank.

Thanks.
