Hi,

Trying to sort a few things out and get myself back on my feet and would really appreciate some advice please.

A few years ago I got myself into a debt mess (best way of describing it).

Had charges put on home and avoided creditors for many years so that debts became statute barred.

Sold house and paid off the charges on the house in full, other debts are now statute barred as over 6 years old and no payments or acknowledgement of debt made.

I was wondering if it is safe and okay to reclaim PPI on these old debts (some of which I did not finish paying off).

The charges put on the house were considerable (£40,000+)........yes, I got in a big mess and wish I had known about CAG back then!

Just some advice as to whether the PPI is worth pursuing or whether I am going to drag up old issues/problems would be much appreciated.

I know I paid some PPI, especially to Household Bank and it would just help me start getting back on my feet after a really hostile divorce in which I basically lost everything.

Many Thanks

DCA's view debtors as suckers, marks and mugs

NO DCA has ANY legal powers whatsoever on ANY debt no matter what it's Type

and they

are NOT and can NEVER  be BAILIFFS. even if a debt has been to court..

If everyone stopped blindly paying DCA's Tomorrow, their industry would collapse overnight...
