  1. Thanks for your responses. I was just wondering weather its normal for my direct line manager to not ask me if i am ok after I got the news or is my expectation of him not reasonable.
  2. There is a new org structure to be effective soon in my workplace which is resulting in my role being made redundancy. I was told last week by my Managers,s MAnager and hr that my job is at risk as they will be outsourcing the services for my role. There is 3 of us that does this role, out of the 3 only 1 person is left who Has the senior role. After I was told the news , we had a Team meeting the following day but there was no mention about the new changes at all, just business as usual. My manger then scheduled a team meeting today but he said he cannot talk about the changes and showed us the new org structure which is not a true reflection of what's going on. I am still listed on the new structure and he didn't even mention that I am at risk of being made redundancy. He only spoke to the team about a new role within the team that will become vacant and he says he instrucuted him to not talk about the changes to the team. Since last week I haven't had contact with my direct line manager . He is I. My boss is A different location so we do everything using online collaboration tools. I am finding this really strange and am wondering if it's Normal or not and should I speak to my line manager. I don't expect him to know the answers but I would have expected him to at least ask if I am ok and how I am doing.
  3. Thank you all for your response, will keep you informed on what happens next
  4. My washer dryer from Hotpoint is about 2 years old. I have extended warranty with a company called Domestic & General. The machine initially had a breakdown just after 12 months and this is when I purchased the extended cover In May this year the machine wasnt drying and I called Hotpoint who sent the engineer out and the problem was fixed. In July the washing machine stopped working it would not switch on at all and when this happened it tripped my electricity most of my stuff in the fridge went bad as I was not at home at the time. To cut the story short this month of July the Hotpoint engineers have been to my house 3 times and still the same issue the machine doesnt dry. I havent had the washing machine working for almost 4 weeks now. I bought this washing machine online from Sainsbury's. The extended warranty company have been saying they will get back to me if they will be able to assist on my claim for the past 4 days. Hotpoint mentioned they will not be able to do anthing because this is no longer under warranty I have to contact the company covering me for extended warranty I really dont know who I should compain to, I think the machine is not fit for purpose and would like this to be replaced. Do I contact Sainbury's, Hotpoint or Domestic and General ( extended warranty company)
  5. I took a mortgage and it came with a loan for £10 250. I have requested for my Credit Agreement. I received the Original Credit Agreement but the page with my signature is photocopied and they have also enclosed the original page with no signature. So in other words they have sent me two page 2 of 2's - one photocopied my my signature and another one with no signature. Is this enforceable or not. It also doesnt state the monthly repayment amount. Please see the attched credit agreement pdf file. Thanks a lot for your help. NR agreement.pdf
  6. I purchased a Hoptpoint Washer dryer from sainsburys in Nov 2007. I have had problems with the mashing machine after 13 months, I spoke to sainsbuiry's and they wouldny help as they one year warranty had expired, hotpoint advised the same. I am having more problems now, the washer/dryer trips electricity. I have just called Hotpoint and they said my one year warranty has expired and I cant register the product for the 5 year free parts guarantee because I failed to register the product within 12 months. Is this right, I really feel frustrated by this, please can you advise if there is anything else I could do.
  7. I booked to travel on South African Airways in August 2007 online through a Travel agency's website. When I got to the airport there were problems with my passport as it wasnt clear if I needed a visa or not ( I checked on the embassy's website which mentioned I didnt although I later realised I did - I dont have a British Passport). I was refused to board the flight. I sent an email to the airline claiming a refund which they responded advising I needed to contact the travel agency regarding refunding the ticket. I then sent an email to the travel agency which they didnt respond to. I have tried calling and was told customer services will deal with this. Since August I have sent them about 5 emails chasing them up. I only received 1 email from them mentioning they had received my email and were looking into this. Its been almost 5 months and I havent heard from them. Please can you advise what I can do.
  8. Thanks for your reply. This has been resolved, it turned out that the courier company has been delivering to the wrong adress.
  9. I placed an order on the internet to buy a coffee table and a lamp table on the 5th of October. They say delivery time is about 4 weeks. I called then after 4 weeks when payment had been deducted from my account to check the status of my order. The person I spoke to said it the tables were returned back to their warehouse because the courior company came to my house twice and they left a note. I have never seen this note at my house. He then confirmed that my order will be delievered the following week on Wednesday or Thursday, NOTHING was delievered. I called them again and the guy said it will definately be delivered the follwoing week on Wednesday. NOTHING again was delivered. I then tried calling them on the customer services number which is 0845 408 1680, the number keeps going on answer mode. I then emailed them on Thursday the 23rd November. I havent heard from them. I keep calling them and have left messages which they dont reply to. I have been calling the 0845 number and its been charging my phone its not a free number. I dont know what to do now someone told me to contact Trading Standards. Please can you advise.
