  1. Hi Connif Thank you for your reply very helpful:). I have never had any holiday pay in the time I have worked for them. I have taken holiday but never got paid whilst I was off.
  2. Hi Sidewinder Thanks for the reply. I dont know when there holiday year should officially run from. I have worked with them from june last year doing 40 hours a week. Never been paid any holiday in that time. When I handed my notice in they didnt want me to leave I said one of the reasons for leaving was because they didnt do holiday pay. My boss then said yeah you do. I said how come I have never had any. The job I have been doing is taxi driver, I get a wage slip every week with 40 hours on it. They lead me to believe while I wasnt working earning them money ,they had no money to pay me holiday pay. I have been taken for a fool and wish I had checked out my entitlements sooner. I have been to the cab today and even without a acontract they still have to pay me something but I have to put a request in writing. I dont want to word it wrong.
  3. Hello, thankyou for reading my request.. Basically, i have been working for my employer for over a year and never been paid any holiday.. i assumed this was the norm as i never signed a contract. I handed in my notice the other day and whilst trying to negotiate me staying my boss let slip that i should of had holiday pay, she acted really supprised and angry that i have never had it. I have since found out that i was entitled to holiday pay all along reguardless of a contract!!! Now i have asked my employer for it she denies i have any, i assume this is because i am still leaving... My next step is to write to my soon to be X-employer asking for my entitled holiday pay,, but i dont know how to put it to words? Does anybody have any idea how i should word this letter? I would like to request all 4.8 days owed (24 days!) Please can anyone help... Regards sam
  4. hi i have read through the different threads, and i just dont get it... i have a claim for £545 lloyds tsb. i have gone through the various stages and now got to the point where i take the bank to small claims court... yippi. however i am filling in the particulars of my claim (with money claim online)and no matter how hard i try, i just cant work out how to calculate my interest of 8%... total ammount and daily amount.. i have tried the spread sheets on the vampiress chaimbers site, but cant get my head round it... (i wasnt good with spread sheets at school either!!!.) please can anybody help me as im totally lost...
  5. just as an update, the bank erased the charge when i closed the account. so i guess thats a good result. just waiting for a reply on my other account now, its another £500 they owe me.... but supprise supprise they are late with a reply for L.B.A. my tollerance is better than it used to be...
  6. ok thanks gyus. it wasnt the full sum NO but to be fair i was only £14 short.. however my partner went to close the account today but was told there was a £30 charge waiting to come out??? (now in dispute with the branch!!) they put this charge on during the original dispute... not too worried now though, at least i dont have to go to court..
  7. I started the whole process to reclaim my charges with lloyds many months ago. i sent a letter asking for charges to be repaid, (got the standard sod off reply) then i sent letter saying im not happy with there response, either pay up or see you in court... this was the 10th jan. i started the court paperwork yesterday but havnt finished it yet. however when i looked on the internet banking this morning (sat 3rd feb) i noticed that a deposit of £720 was put into my account.. it was from ex-gratia...? is this a payment from the bank? i have no letters from them to say ok here is your money!!!
  8. you know this is not true!!! this is the start of many scare tactics they will use in the hope you will give up!! but your not going to do that are you? it may help you to look at threads other people have posted, ill bet you find many with the same question you ask. have you read the FAQ section and the step by step guide? this will help you lots. JUST KEEP GOING, you are entitled to your own money back... keep us updated, but definatly keep going.. good luck SAM

When i got home from work on sat there were letters waiting for me one of which was from the bank, indeed this were my statments for the last 6 years.... there was no returned cheque with the letter but on closer inspection with my bank account, it appears that the money hasnt even been cashed yet? still i have the statments and thats what is important. step two here i come... keep you updated as i go along SAM
  10. HI i have three different accounts with lloyds, however i have only claimed for one account as the whole process seemed daunting to me. where do i start it all seems a bit scary... Rest assured i will be reguesting statments for my other accounts in time, i think its best to start off small. I started my process on the 12th october by sending my data request form to lloyds but i used used the address on my statment to send the letters to, was this the right move? Im not sure if that was the right place or not as i still have no reply!! anyway i wanted to introduce myself, as im sure i will be posting my process and hopefully informing you all of my settlements! SAM
