  1. Heya there Send the letter from the templates section, accepting the offer but only as a part payment and reinforce that you will be continuing with your timetable in pursuit of all of the money the bank owe you. I recently have received the full amount I was claiming which was just under £700. After I refused the first offer, I sent the letter off, waited another 10 days or so (I gave Tommy and Co a bit of extra time as they appeared to be very busy and a little behind at the moment), and then I received a full settlement offer. I'm not saying that's what will certainly happen to you - but if you send the letter from the templates section and stick with it, I expect you'll have your full offer by Christmas! Take a look at http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/royal-bank-scotland-bank/43582-niteflite-rbos.html for my case.
  2. Thanks very much! Relatively easy and pain free too
  3. Could a mod please move this to the WON section? Ta
  4. Mine took about a week I think although I think Tommy and Co are busy at the moment.
  5. I'd do all you can to give them 14 days. The bank could claim that they haven't been given enough time to respond appropriately as a means of defence should your case go to court.
  6. Heya there, I have WON!!!!!!!!! http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/royal-bank-scotland-bank/43582-niteflite-rbos.html I'm unable to change the title of my thread...
  7. Received a letter this morning from someone PP Tommy McLean offering me a full and final settlement of the full amount I was claiming. I'm really, really, really happy and really, really glad I gave Tommy and his team a couple of extra days before I filed the MCOL. So, in short, I WON!!!!!!
  8. Still no word from the bank alas I noticed today too that they'd finally cashed the £10 cheque for my DPA request. I'm going to give them until tomorrow, then file the MCOL. As I've been corresponding only with Tommy McLean in Edinburgh, but I live in the UK, could anyone please tell me which address I use for the bank when filing my MCOL? Thank you for any help....
  9. Ah excellent, thanks for your help tannaku! I'm giving Mr McLean until Saturday morning to respond, then I'll be left with no choice but to file an MCOL. Cheers!
  10. Yup, I'm having this problem too. All correspondence between the bank and I up to now has been done via Tommy McLean in Edinburgh - yet I live in England. So when it comes to filing my MCOL for RBoS, I'm not sure which address to use?
  11. I've had no reply from Mr McLean either sadly. A question for you - which address did you use to file you MCOL if you did your court thing online? Cheers
  12. Good luck! My claim amounts to £650 or thereabouts, so we're in the same boat. Keep us posted!
  13. My deadline was today and has now passed. I haven't filed my MCOL yet - I thought maybe I'd wait until the end of the week to see if Mr McLean has put anything in the post today - wise move do you think?
  14. I am a bit worried, on the eve of my deadline, by this paragraph I sent to Mr McLean : "My letter before action sent previously indicates that you have until 28/11/2006 to respond before Court action commences. You are politely reminded that there will be no extension to this timescale." Perhaps I should have allowed for more time between rejecting the offer and saying I was going to file my MCOL? Anyone got any opinions?
