  1. Hello All Looking for some advice. Bought a used car in March 2016 from a car supermarket place. Was sold a 3 year warranty with the car which in my opinion was pressure sold (was made to think i wouldnt get the finance on the car if i didnt agree to it). Anyway roll on to December 2017 returning from a trip the car lost all power on a dual carriageway luckily not far from home so managed to get the car home safely. I phoned customer protect the following day who advised me to get the fault diagnosed (they recomended Halfords) so i paid £50 an took the car to halfords for diagnostics..they reported back saying that it was probably an injector that was at fault and that there was no issue with the turbo. At the time i was not in a position to pay out a vast amount of money on repair due to job issues. So the car has been standing on my drive for the last 6 months. Roll onto the present day im now in a better position and have saved up some money for the car to be repaired. So i booked it in with the local Hyundai dealer who have said the turbo is shot and will need replacing, gonna cost over £3000 to put right. So today i phone the Warranty company (customer protect) and advise them of this, they speak to the Hyundai dealer and have refused the repair because i first informed them of the issue last December. Now i know they aren't gonna cover the whole expense as the warranty will only go up to £1000 and im quite prepared to cover the rest of the repair from my own pocket. My question is can i get my money back that i paid out for the warranty (£800 i think) Any advice much appreciated.
  2. Hello i was recently let go from my position as an ICT technician, a role which i have done succesfully for the last 17 years. I started the new job in June this year, leaving a job which i loved but wasnt well payed. At the end of August i was called into head office for a meeting about my 3 month probabtion which was coming to an end. In the meeting i was told that i had not performed as well as they had hope and would not be continuing to employ me and that he was taking advice from an external company (who incidentally were coming in and starting to look after the IT at the start of September) Now i found this quite unbelievable, as ive said ive been in this line of work for 17 years and never had any complaints about my work. and have several references to back this up. To me it stinks of a set up as the last 3 month have been the busiest in the companys year and i was taken on to cover these months with no intention of the role becoming permanent at the end of the 3 months. I have proof that in my 3 months with the company things on the IT side have improved considerably. Im just looking for any advice or recomendations on what my best course of action would be, i have already spoken to ACAS and the told me that i cannot take my former employers to tribunal as i was only there 3 months. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  3. sent the request to the lewis group, and yes £1 was included with the request
  4. hi all i sent a CCA request to the lewis group middle of december last year. They claim to be collecting for a vanquis card i have. Sent the CCA request recorded delivery and included the £1 fee. Not had a reply from them as yet, but today recieved a statement from vanquis which looks like they have used the £1 fee as payment off the account. Arev they allowed to do this? and what should be my next course of action? many thanks
  5. hi all i had a small accident on monday in a car park owned by a nursery school and childrens center. i was parked in a space facing forward and was about to leave, a 08 clio came into the carpark and drove past where i was parked and stopped about 5 meters further on. at this point i started to pull out of my space to drive off, when the clio's reversing lights came on and started to move backwards. at this point i was about half way out of the space and stopped and honked my horn the clio just carried on and hit my front corner, drivers side. the damge to my car is minimal being a big 4x4 (marked front bumper) the clio had a marked rear bumper and a small dint in the rear drivers side rear wing. we swapped details and today i received a letter from the other driver saying that her car was going to cost £291 to fix and that she wasnt going to clain through her insurance and would pay the £91 if i would pay the £200. she also says in the letter that i hit her, now how can i of hit her if i was stationery? as the damage to my car is minimal i was just going to leave it and sort it myself. obviously i dont wanna have to pay towards something that i dont think was my fault. any advice?
  6. fair enough then. never had any of those things you mention shadow. id agreed a monthly payment with credit solutions in may this year, they even wrote a letter accepting it. yesterday i get a letter from them saying that i have not made reasonable proposals to clear the debt and if i dont pay the full amount within 7 day court proceeding may be commenced. it also states not to write to them as our time limits are now very strict and i must phone them.ive not missed a payment since the agreement, personally i just think they are trying to scare me into paying up
  7. hi all i recieved a signed credit agreement from credit solutions within the time limit. then stupidly forgot to post it up here to see if its enforcable.i would appreciate some of you taking a look at it for me and advising me on my next course of action if any thanks credit agreement.pdf
