  1. *Update* I nipped into Aldi today, showed proof of my two purchases and explained and they have made sure I don't have to pay the fine. They did explain that I may get a few more letters but to ignore or go back if in anyway concerned. Result!
  2. Frustratingly card at Gregg's but cash at Aldi and I can't find the receipt for Aldi. I can find receipts from Tesco from 3 years ago, but not the one I so desperately need!! Typical

  4. I have a local retail park (The Grange Retail Park) that has an Aldi, Gregg's, Subway and Costa. On the 27th January I nipped into the retail park for 5 mins for a Gregg's lunch, left and went on with my working day. That evening, I needed to nip to Aldi on the same retail park... Over the weekend I have received a parking fine from Parkingeye for being parked up for nearly 8 hours! It's not a pay and display carpark just a limited time whilst shopping (I think 2 hours) What do I do next? I have proof of being in Gregg's at lunch but can't find my receipt for Alid, though this doesn't prove I wasn't there in between?
  5. Hello all, After hearing nothing for just over two years on this one, I have started receiving letters again. It started in May with a letter from Cabot saying they have tried to contact me several time (I have received no other letters etc so assume they have called but my phone blocks negative rated calls) to discuss my account but are now referring it to Mortimer Clarke Solicitors. They (Mortimer Clarke Solicitors) promptly sent me a badly mail merged (gaps where dates should be) letter telling me Carbot had obtained a judgement against me. Yesterday I received an "oopsy, made a boo boo" letter saying they had infact been instructed by Cabot that this was incorrect and they apologise for the error... Question is, what sort of letter do I reply with? I tried a "this is statute barred" type letter two years ago and it seems to have been conveniently forgotten! Thank you for your continued help and support!
  6. Hello All, A little update... Well... After just over a year... I received a letter... This lovely letter was from Mortimer Clarke Solicitors explaining that they have been instructed by their client to discontinue all proceedings!! Happy Days!
  7. The capital One default date is on my credit file as 01/10/10 but I am certain the last payment was actually the very end of 2009 or very beginning of 2010 at the very latest. I have requested my bank statements to be completely sure.
  8. Hi All, I have a question... statute barred... Is it based on the date you made your last payment or the date the company defaults you? If that makes sense? Thank you
  9. Just the usual Cabot letters saying what I owe and that I must pay. But only one a month or so.
  10. Sorry sorry sorry, you are far more switched on than me!! You were right to merge
  11. SORRY... You were right to merge, they are the same thing... I am being a thicko!! SORRY!!!
  12. That is no problem. This was a Capital One credit card. I am trying to dig out the history as, if I'm honest I can't remember why it is unpaid.
