  1. Hi I tried unsuccessfully to claim back ppi from paragon a few years ago as they said they were unregulated. The loan was taken out in 2003 . I have again contacted them re Plevin and their response is In the case of paragon these rules meant that only claims relating to loans made on or after 8 March 2007 qualify as this is the date paragon became subject to the rules I thought that as long as the loan /insurance was still running then it was a valid claim.... I would appreciate and ones thought on whether I should persue further
  2. Sorry never got round to replying to this Took it to the ombudsman who after a full investigation said as it was pre 2004 (by 3 months) there was nothing that could be done.
  3. Hi wonder if. Anyone can advise please. Took my y reg corsa for mot and told the garage I knew it would fail so depending on the cost I may not go ahead with repairs. They rang me on Saturday and said it had failed but total cost would be £209 so I thought not to bad go ahead. Rang me today and said they had misdiagnosed Cat would ned to go to a dealer for repair, so could I pick it up and pay the, the 209. I rang the dealer who has quoted me at least £400 for the repair, It's clearly not worth spending that much on . My question is as they misdiagnosed should I be charged for the replaced part. Thanks in advance
  4. I also have a loan with Paragon and have passed this to the FOS as Paragon gave me the same response, seems the company that is now responsible for the PPI is Aviva and my case is with them 8 weeks deadline is up on 27 March so I will keep you informed as to the outcome
  5. I have a loan with Paragon and they told me it was based on LIBOR rates when I queried there high rate increases, it the LIBOR rates have dropped over the last few years then should Paragon not have been lowering their charges also. I am totally confused
  6. Hi Wrote to Paragon AGAINfor the third attempt and AGAIN they say the loan was unregulated and that is their final comment..... any suggestions anyone
  7. Its just that paragon keep fobbing me off with my loan was unregulated and a broker was involved, so is it worth me trying again for the Third time contacting them do you think
  8. Hi again, was your loan unregulated and secured or was it a personal regulated loan:???:
  9. Hi and congratulations was this an unregulated secure loan . I have a loan with Paragon and they keep responding with the same answer its unregulated and you used a broker so tough
  10. How are you doing with this claim I have a loan with paragon also and they are charging an arm and a leg for PPI which ended 5 years into the loan which I wasnt aware of before hand. They say that it is the brokers fault and they no longer exist. Are you still paying the loan or have you suspeneded payments to them?
  11. I have an unregulated loan with Paragon and I am paying a fortune for an insurance that ran out after 5 years even though the loan was for 17 years, I have sent in a PPI claim and they have told me that Loan Line were the brokers and anyway it was an unrgulated loan so tough, it does seem very unfair though that they get away with this
  12. Thats why I was unsure as I tried to claim this back a few year ago and got no where with them but I will certainly go for it again, nothing to lose and everything to gain Well Paragon have told me to take a running jump Loanline were brokers and dont exist anymore and it seems that the loan was an unregulated loan so I have no comeback to claim and will have to keep on paying until the bitter end
  13. Thanks, I ahve my original agreement but have never ever had a statement from them to say what has been paid or how much is still owed. I will do as you suggest and Thank You:-)
