  1. Hiya - I'm writing this as I've just cancelled a DD to the above and after seeing other people's experiences with them - I'm expecting trouble! I was contacted by an organisation last October by phone saying that they would guarantee you entries into loads of different competitions every week and they'd virtually guaranteed you win a or some prizes. It was £12.95 every month and you could cancel whenever - no obligation! Well after hearing and winning nothing - I cancelled the DD saw that others who had done the same were getting and being pursed by debt companies. Apparently the company says that you have entered into a 24 month contract with them as per their letter sent ( which no one has received or had any knowledge about) and they are billing you for the or remaining months up to the 24! Has anybody had any dealings with them and / or what I should do to stop this from happening? Thank you
  2. My son parked in one of Newcastles multi storey car parks and bought and displayed a £5 valid ticket. Came back to find PCN stating he'd parked in a hotel reserved place! There was no signs or markings in parking bay and he'd deliberately driven up from another level as those below did have signs at the front of each bay showing reserved. He said there was something on the base of the level of the floor above but which was well above eye height and he thought that was apertaining to the floor above. We've tried to appeal to council but have been turned down. They said they enclosed a photo showing this but hadn't, so have rung today and they said they'll send it through. Has anybody ever tried to appeal against anything like this and won before?
  3. Hiya - can anybody advise - am paying old gas n electric from previous address at £10.00 a week to clear old bill. Has been passed to LCS who have added on £135.00 plus for late payments . Wrote to them over amonth ago { payments being made for 3 months now} asking them to cancel charges explaining that this all happened as direct debit was set up but then Scottish Power sent me throught and set up an additional two direct debits for the full amount £789.00 in total. When I spoke to bank they said they couldnt say which was which - so advised to cancel all three - which i did. No response from LCS _ what legal terms and conditions can I quote when I write to them again. Many thanks in anticipation of your help.
  4. Have finally received letter saying account is clear but that was after more letters from CARS and a threat of a home visit. At the time I had been hospitalised due to spinal probllems and my mail was being brought into hospital for me. Because of all the upset it was causing, I asked to be discharged early so as I could get home to get back on to Virgin to get them to sort it out - yet again!! Basically I'm just writing this to say that I am going to report them to Otelo with all the details of this fiasco as soon as I feel a bit better. Will let u know the outcome!! Reading many other posts here - I see Virgin are gaining a reputation that they will wish they never had because of the hassle and havoc they are causing people!!
  5. Forgot to mention- spoke to a manager who quoted the LLoyds victory till I told him very politely otherwise!!
  6. Won first court case against Naw worst bankers begining of May. Since then have had another £49.06 of Bank Charges re interest and unarranged borrowing charge which all applies to the period that the bank Charges were being reclaimed for. Now, spoke to Collections twice, once at the begining of May when I received statements showing date of charges to be applied at end of May for the period April to May. I was told, don't worry its all crossed in the post, these charges will all be cancelled as they applied to the period that the charges were being claimed for. Rang again last week after getting out of hospital and spoke to another girl who confirmed the charges were cancelled. Guess what - just checked my internet banking - charged in full. Spent half an hour on phone speaking to actionline , customer relations {just so full of their own importance!!} and no - no help whatsoever. So here we go again. First letter going off today - no doubt see you in court again soon - Love to you all!!!!
  7. I agree with Lillboy - we're getting away from the main issue. Remember - Together we stand - Divided we fall. We're all on the same side and trying to get the same results from the Banks. The last thing we need is to bicker amongst ourselves and let Lloyds and the Smarmy SC & M read these posts and think that they are getting the upper hand. Onwards and Upwards - back to main objective!!
  8. Hiya Kev - we're all behind you - I'll donate to a fighting fund for you - LLoyds have just managed to sink to a new low in my eyes - and the Judge!! - NO Comment. I take it he was'nt the Judge who had to declare an interest as his wife was reclaiming her Bank Charges back too!!

  10. Fellow members - don't give up - this is exactly what Lloyds want you to do. They want you to be rattled and unsure and to accept their paltry part payments. They might have won a small battle - but they will NEVER win the war!! I'm 100% sure with all the expert help and advice that is around - Kev will win on appeal and then Lloyds small victory will be overturned and the floodgates will open in ernest Against Them!! Lloyds and their smarmy SC&M - SHAME on you all!!
  11. Do we think its the Judge trying to get his 15 minutes of Fame - as no doubt this will make the news and the newspapers? - and he is trying to make a name for himself. At this time, would it also be appropriate to ask if Judges have to declare anywhere ( as they have to in Government and in a variety of other positions) if they are a shareholder or have any interests in a company - it certainly would be very interesting to find out...
  12. Hiya - brilliant letter - hope you get some joy. Have just sorted my 5 months ongoing dispute with them - never again. Virgin on the most incompetant mobile co's i've dealt with. Never again. Best of luck.
  13. God what on earth is the judge thinking of!! Edited If he thinks that kinda fees are fair - we are definately paying him too much as a Judge!! Don't give up Kev - we're all behind you
  14. Congratulations to you!! Wish this one had made the News a Ten as well! Lloyds really are one of the slowest, time stalling Banks of all. Best wishes.

Hiya Buzby - have done that one - this lad was supposed to sort it all out and get back to me within 7 Days {by 20th April}- had already sent all my previous letters and details into him by recorded delivery and had talked to him at length about all the mistakes that had been made by Virgin. He E-mailed to say he had received it all and was going to talk to his Operations Manager and get back to me within 7 Days - which he did'nt. Then I received a duplicate invoice in the post - so rang Virgin - to be told by a girl that the account didnt show on their system anymore - so me being stupid - thought - great - its all finally sorted out once and for all and account cancelled now!! Have tried ringing the guy again but he's away - on holiday- according to the person I spoke to. Do you think I should ask for the Operations Manager when I ring back - thats if they will talk to me? I used to really admire Richard Branson - can't believe he's got his name on something Virgin on extreme incompetence!!
