  1. hello i have moved since, its with mac group.
  2. I just want some advice on statuary demand under section 288 1a. I'm in debt for a computer and the debt is £7k and now I've been sent an email stating if the debt plus other costs are not paid they will make be bankrupt. My concern is, I own my home outright (inherited) and from what I've read online, I'm reading that i could lose my home or be made to sell. Is this a likely outcome with the debt been only £7k I'm in receipt of esa and suffer mental health issues (not after sympathy), so financially I'm not able to pay the debt as I have other debt as well, so im quite concerned about this situation.help and advice would be gratefully recieved. many thanks
  3. I’m after some help regarding stamp duty on an inherited property which I live in and have done since my mom passed away, there was no inheritance tax to pay on her estate, but if I sell the property and buy another property to live in will I still have to pay stamp duty if the property was over £250k. Thanks.
  4. I ordered a electrical item but due to it taking too long for the order to be delivered, I cancelled and eventually got a refund having asked several times, then four weeks later the item turned up and they are asking for it back or full payment, In fairness I didn’t order it again as I’d cancelled, I was looking on bankrate.com and states: you won’t have to pay for products you didn’t order. Since you canceled your order and your vendor acknowledged the cancellation, you have effectively voided your order. If you do end up being billed for it, you can pursue your rights under the Fair Credit Billing Act.
  5. andy ! 90% created by themselves with fees interest and charges.Accumulated during lockdown and him having no work.i think ill take your advice thankyou kindly.
  6. 1,natwest 2,nobody has told them, They told me they will search land registry. so i think I'm up that creek without a paddle.
  7. dx. not signed anything, the debts were from his address (rented) not the one I'm living in.
  8. my intention is to do probate if i decide to sell, I myself have no family so no debt will be passed on.as for the bank ive not signed or agreed to anything, the bloke from the bank did ask me to send an email confirming the information regarding probate or land registry which i have no intention of doing so.
  9. i know that! my question was what can the do if they find out his name is on the deeds to his house? without probate been done.
  10. i know i need to do probate, but what do you mean by difficulty?
  11. he passed away in April 2021 unexpected no will in place ive lived in his house since aug 2018 I'm the only living sibling, the debt is through an overdraft/charges which come about during lock down. so the bank have put his account in my name and ive written to them explaining the circumstances and are assuming i am his nok with out even asking me. ive spoke to the bereavement team today and they are saying theIr investigations are looking for any probate done and on the land registry, to me it seams a lot of messing about for just 4k.
  12. hi, there was no will, it is possible he does owe money to utility company's other than that I'm unaware, he has no family apart from me, obviously ive inherited the house due to circumstances.
  13. hello i need a bit of advice regarding a debt with a bank by my late brother its for 4k but the bank are now writing to me re:his estate as it stands he as no capital but does own a house which i live in, no probate has yet been done, but the bank are saying they will do their investigations to see if there is probate or information held by the land registry, obviously his name is on the deeds so were does it leave me? I'm in no position to pay the debt and don't see why i should, but is really necessary for a bank to do this for a small (ish) amount of money. thanks
  14. good news the pension company settled the account with just the original D/C and my B/C probate wasn't needed, it was sorted really quickly. thankyou all for the help and advice.
