I do apologise for any confusion got myself in a rather a tizzy we as a company took on the job. 70/30 profit share taking below minimum wage we actually saw an out. Company was taken bankrupt no assests only company van husband then took over the contract all great. The client at the time paid to get the van back so work could continue to carry out the contract all happy until now when property sold now we recieved phone call saying he’s not happy we’re getting nothing and he’s taking ownership of Van again I aplogise if this is written in the wrong format I m just typing we stand to loose everything I’ve kept the wolves from the door with this guarantee again Thankyou for reading

Long story. We took a job on back in February as a company at basic living wage upon agreement that there was a 30% profit share at the end business suffered as basic living wage didn’t covered costs we went bankrupt. My husband who was main contractor took on the job in own right. Still same rate although we all worked with no pay after all we re a family and trying to help out all happy the owner of the job has had very little input was away more than there just transferred the wage bill fast forward a little when went bankrupt they took company van happy with that. But he bought it back so we could continue with his work and agreed to take it out any monies owed end of job. Now end of job and it’s been hard weve there last 3 weeks no pay etc and his demanding wanting more than we signed up for bit we did it because were behind on everything taking basic wage even though we’re all skilled turning potential customers away etc as we stand to gain 10grand which will keep actually save us right now nothing left but wolves will be gone. All great. We got the gas signed off electrics signed off building inspector happy all At our expense. House sold moves in soon just had phone call to say we’re getting nothing as a windowsill hasn’t been put on and he’s demanding a meeting at 6.30pm and wants it doing. We have nothing on writing but have recorded the call of which was bullish we stand to loose our van which we need along with our home all for trusting some one we know and trust. Any advice appreciated because I’m about done. And literally at a loss we both have depression and anxiety. And 2 special need children I feel completely deflated and worked my butt off for the last 8 months without pay apologies if posted in wrong place. Please anyone advice me on what I need to do. Just had a bailiff at the door I don’t know from what company he just asked for me and then told me I had 3 warrants out in my name and I have 5 days to pay or I’m being taken to court. Well that was it for me I don’t remember any of the conversation after that anxiety hit me like a brick I am sufferer also with depression. I do remember telling him I’m on universal credit. He asked for proof I showed him I’ve never worked always been on family credit I care for my disabled son. Who receives DLA apparently I’ve no council tax relief in place I should of applied when they switched me from tax credits to universal didn’t know this I feel so sick and trying to calm down sorry if this doesn’t make sense Ive had no ctax relief since October before that when I was on tax credits and I worked briefly for 3 months but had to stop due to my son not coping that was December 17 I put in a claim but told because I had my own business even though not earning from it I could not claim relief I’ve managed to run up arrears I don’t have the money to pay I’ve rent arrears and possible eviction I’m dealing with struggling to cope my husband just come out of bankruptcy where we were assessed to not having enough to live off. He works but doesn’t earn a lot our main income is benefits he has anxiety disorder also I don’t know if I’ve received letters because I just don’t open my mail anymore i just can’t face it it’s my fault I’m in the mess I’m in I just need to know what to do next and try deal with it best I can. He said I could go to prison if I don’t pay in 5 days thats not an option. My son wouldn’t cope well with that and wouldn’t help my own anxiety worrying about him. Thanks for any help offered.

Thank you I ve emailed my local CAB just waiting for them to come back to me with appointment. I be taken pictures of all the mould and damp which I ve been complaining about before I incurred any arrears. But now he refusing and using the arrears as the reason Thanks so much for all advice. I’m reallly quite useless when it come to anything like this.

Oh final question so sorry. Am I entitled to ask in writing what my initial payment before I moved in was for as this is not in tenancy agreement. Many thanks yet again.

Thank you I’m going to local CAB. I ll happily leave house in total disrepair been promised new windows for 2 years they don’t even close we have to put a towel in the gap i accept the rent arrears but until two days this was paid as up and when we could. And have made as much effort as I can Now im having daily knocks on door not just landlord today was his brother. I just don’t understand where this has come from. And can’t cope with the confrontation Thank you all again I truly appreciate everyone’s input.

Thanks so much for that. He s just been on my door. Asking when I’m paying my arrears i paid 300 off last week don’t think I can cope with him knocking every day as he lives next door my anxiety through the roof. As his my son s he s autistic and seeing me stressed makes him stressed. I m going to write a letter asking him to clarify wether I paid 2 months in advance or 1 month rent and 1 month deposit and go from there as well as look for somewhere else to live. Hi jase. I have the agreement here. Nothing about deposit in it just the rental payment. My understanding was 1 month deposit and 1 month rent. I did get a receipt however can’t find that. I moved in on the 1st sept and paid my rent 1st Oct. so how was it 2 months in advance ? Or does it mean that when I served notice to leave I don’t pay rent for 2 months. I don’t think there’s any protection if he took it as deposit I received no paperwork if there is. When I asked him about deposit he said it was 2 months rent I advance but didn’t matter as the amount was the same. Can he just send me a typed letter to leave or should I recieve some proper notice Many thanks I’m so stressed over this.

Hi everyone. Hoping for a little advice. I have rented my property since 2015. Over time through unemployment and poor health I developed arrears met with landlord was understanding agreed to pay whatever I could when I could. I am 2 months behind but just paid some off this total. I recieved a letter from him this morning he’s given me 2 days to pay all my arrears or I’m to vacate property on the 25th feb. My question is can he do this I ve approached him about using my deposit (which hasn’t been protected if he had )to which he told me I paid 2 months in Advance and not a deposit so therefore I wouldn’t have arrears Would I ? So confused and worried I’m going to loose my home the house needs a lot of work and landlord has refused until my rent up to date I’m dealing with holes in window frames because they’ve rotted. Some windows don’t close. Mould and damp and these were problems long before any rent arrears Any advice appreciated Many thanks.

Yes I was totally unaware nothing from police. Court. Dvla. No one best of my knowledge awaiting court date
