  1. Thank you for your help. I have told them of our situation. Their idea of help was to put the account on hold.
  2. The debt is no longer on my partners credit history and due to his mental health, everything is a worry to him. He is incredibly fragile as he has suffered terrible trauma in his life.
  3. The debt was an unsecured personal loan with Lloyds. I'm totally rubbish with computers, I will try to follow above instructions but may need to find myself some assistance. Why do you say never settle with dca? My feeling is that I just want it out of our lives completely ,we have enough to worry about and this needs eliminating. Thank you for your response, it really is appreciated.
  4. Forgot to say that I have also been made redundant. Any info on what people have settled for with any dca would be gratefully received.
  5. Hello All, Newbie here so apologies if this is in the wrong place. I'm currently trying to help my partner with his debt situation involving intrum. In a nutshell this is an old debt from 2007, last payment made in 2015 through a debt management company. I have sent a cca request and received a cca. The debt is approx £10k We've had a terrible time along the way, My partner is now being treated for depression, anxiety and ptsd. I have offered £1040 to try and settle the debt which has been refused by intrum who have said that they are placing the account on hold for 6 months. This really is not helpful as having this hanging over him is torturous given everything else that's going on. Has anyone settled with Intrum and what % did you settle for? Thank you in advance for any help offered.
