Hi, my Dad who as the title says is 86, needs a new rise & recline chair and I said I would take him to the local specialist retailer to get one measured up and ordered, I went to see him tonight and it turns out that he went himself to SCS 4 days ago and ended up ordering one that I think is unsuitable for him, and he paid in full in cash! The chair can't be delivered for at least 7 weeks and I see on the invoice that they say they don't accept cancellations. Is this even legal? Its not a custom build or anything special, it's a G-Plan standard model chair. I'm going to see them tomorrow to ask politely to cancel the order and refund him, and going by what I've seen on other threads I fully expect a "Sorry it's company policy" refusal. How do you suggest I proceed after that? Thanks in advance.
