what is a Global Substitution Order ?
fruitbat1958 replied to fruitbat1958's topic in Financial Legal Issues
It was a HSBC loan and a credit card that was all being managed until I became unemployed. when stepchange approached Hsbc wouldn't deal with them. step change advised me against it because of the interest but it was offered to me at nil interest so I took it. As by now I had a different bank account with a different bank I had to transfer the payment each month into the HSBC bank again I never missed a payment. Over a year down the line I received court papers from Dg Solicitors and when I checked the account they had not taken any payments for 4 mths I contacted HSBC who told me that the payment had changed and that meant I should have resubmitted another standing order. I had no notification of any of this. Sent court papers back and explained what had happened but still ended up with CCJ. HSBC told me it had been passed to Metropolitan but when I spoke to them they had no record of it being on their system then or before. Just a complete mess. -

No I have a mortgage but the loan was not secured on it. MC wrote to me before Christmas to see if I would settle the debt at a reduction of a 1000 and the CCJ is over 6years old. -
Hi there, New to this so go gentle. I have a CCJ issued against me for an unsecured debt of 8000 at Northampton Court in 2012 by HSBC (DG Solicitors). In the summer of last year it was sold to Cabot and was then informed that Mortimer Clarke would be dealing with it. I might add that I have never missed a payment and have be dealing with Stepchange since 2009. When Mortimer Clarke contacted me I informed Step Change and gave them the payment details for MC which they transferred the payment to and still all payments are up to date. This afternoon I received a Global Substitution Order stating there had been a court hearing of which I had no knowledge of. I have never heard of GIO and I have trawled the net for information to no avail. I was wondering if anybody on here could help me with explaining what one is and what do I do about it. TYA
