Sorry letter from RBS about ppi

I received a letter from the in November 2017 saying that I may have been missold ppi? I rang and started the ball rolling, after approx 9 weeks I received another saying it may take another 8 weeks or less! I rang them to enquire about claim and was told it was regarding a previously rejected claim? does this actually mean i will be entitled to something or is that just wishful thinking?
