  1. Hasn’t that already been done though? Hence Santander saying “the cleaner probably signed for it”, has caused the data breach/issue regarding the claim being delayed.
  2. A cleaner signing for documents and them being lost/stolen/misplaced isn’t a data breach? Thanks, Fodder, my wife made the call without thinking and didn’t record/get the operatives name/reference. We live and learn. And if proof of delivery wasn’t sufficient, how would proof of posting be any use?
  3. Hi all My wife has just had a phone call where Santandee told her that they’ve not received her follow-up letter (including statements, payments, account details) for her PPI claim against a store card (which Santander owned). The letter was sent 6 weeks ago via recorded delivery (my wife kept the receipt as proof), and the advisor told her that “the cleaner probably signed for it and it’s been lost”. Has anyone ever heard of a similar (ridiculous) story and what should my wife’s next steps be? And should this be reported to FSA about the potentially huge breach of Data Protection? Many thanks P
