  1. Perfect, ignore all communication from them, nothing they can do, although being PRA I suppose they could be stupid enough to try and send a claim form for a debt that has been Statute Barred for better than a year. If that happens , simply come back here, but somehow I doubt it will.
  2. That's why you should never speak to any DCA by telephone, they are trained to pull your levers, manipulate you into paying something towards a debt that is completely unenforceable. The only thing you need to do is write to them with your current address, if you have moved home since that last payment.
  3. I had a lady call from Resolve Call, I old her the debt was Statute barred in 2018, she rolled her eyes and apologised, and said she'd not be bothering me again. They know full well how old these debts are.
  4. correct , that is exactly what they will do. Although you may need to explain how much you can afford. They are genuinely very sympathetic to people on low incomes also, they may ask for an income and expenditure sheet, and will certainly take your illness into account, and need to get a note from your GP or consultant.
  5. I have been through everything you have. Just was my wife who had the severe UC, we owe them £15,000. Nothing will happen, if you are still eligible for benefits they will take a tiny bit off them to pay it back. If not they will accept like a token payment per month according to your earnings. We pay £50 per month jointly. Forget about this, it's nothing enjoy the rest of your weekend, you deserve it.
  6. Cheers, Look forward to reading through some of those.
  7. Yup it states Paypal (Europe) S.A.R.L Luxembourg
  8. DCA Lowell / Overdales, Original Creditor Paypal (Europe). Date of Agreement May 2019 Balance £4000 Date of Default Apr 2022. No payments made since default. I filled in the PAPLOC as directed here and Overdales have comeback with a forest, statement of account etc and an agreement, pages and pages long which to me looks like it could just be a generic print off designed to scare me into paying. Or for all I know it could be legitimate. Should I just let it run and wait for a Claimform? The only issue I have this year is , I need to re fix my mortgage and having a CCJ is going to potentially hurt.
  9. Are you still claiming Tax Credits / Universal Credit? They will likely take a small monthly amount off , if you are
  10. Yup, if the call centre fob you off, and won't put you through to Finance or collections, just email his local councillor, who will have them called off in a jiffy.
  11. Hello, I have been through this, here is how this will ultimately play out. 1. They can and will go back so far that you don't remember. They were chasing our Tax credit overpayment from 2009 2. Check through the SAR carefully they will likely have made (some) errors in your favour 3. It is VERY likely you do owe them something it was very easy to not realise you were being overpaid 4. They Will send you demands for ridiculous amounts demanding you pay. 5 They will threaten to attach your earnings etc. In the end I just give them £25 per month on a £5k debt, it was that easy, it really isn't the end of the world. Use the SAR to establish what you really owe, then ring them to set up an agreement.
  12. Write to them with your name and new address I xxx xxx account number xxxx xxxxx, now live at number 1 , xxxx street, xxx It will cost you a First class stamp and may save you thousands. Otherwise you are just cannon fodder for Lowell
