  1. But I have had written confirmation last year that they were "we have taken the decision to write off the account and cease all the collections activity with immediate effect” !!! Surely that is good for a letter of complaint.
  2. It didn't do any good as I couldn't get through security, I think they have changed my date of birth!

  4. Ive been having problems with the same sort of letter from this company about a capital one account that I paid off so long ago that I cant remember when I even paid it off! I received a letter last year saying "we have taken the decision to write off the account and cease all the collections activity with immediate effect” However, I received a telephone call tonight asking for me from BPO, I called them back and tried to get through their security questions only to be told I haven't passed as I've given the wrong date of birth!!!! Ive not changed my date of birth! Any suggestions???
