Hi, I am in the process of buying a new car. On their website it said their cars come with BuySure. Complimentary Breakdown cover for 12 months and with 6 months warranty. This was on their own website and the auto trader ad for the car. Please see attached. When I went in to buy, I was told the warranty would be £300 to extend to 12 months. I have complained and the most they would give me is the breakdown cover, not the warranty. I plan to go down today to have it out with them. I'm kinda tied in as I have paid for my number plate to be switched. I have read today on the RAC site that cars sold by their partner dealers (such as the one I am dealing with) should come with the breakdown cover and a minimum of 3 months warranty (also attached). So they are still screwing me by telling me it only comes with 28 days warranty. Am I misreading or understanding this or are they using this tactic to up-sell warranty. I plan to go in and let them know that am considering reporting them to auto trader, RAC and trading standards but before I do I want to make sure I don't have this wrong. Would you take it this way also?

Hi, I have recently started work with an agency. I have been accruing holiday pay and about 3 weeks after I started I took a days holiday for preplanned arrangements. I had accrued a days pay in that time so was expecting that day to paid in the following weeks pay pack in place of the hours I should have worked. Instead nothing was paid at all. When I queried this with them , this is the reply I got "Due to working time regulations if you are over the average amount of hours worked in a week we are not allowed to pay for holidays within the same week. This is unfortunately the law and nothing we are able to override in anyway. I apologise that this has been the case. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any further questions or concerns." In that same week I did two days overtime, either side of my main shift, which meant I had worked over my 44 hour shift, but that shouldn't effect me being paid for my holiday as I lost wages for that day. The holiday pay is meant to replace that missing pay. With my previous two employers if I took holiday I was always paid for it providing I had holiday to use, regardless of whether any overtime was done in that same pay period. So I know this reply is BS, as there no law against it. Can I just confirm with you guys I am right in thinking that this is wrong. I have now got 2.20 day accrued and have another days holiday this week but am I ever going to be paid my holiday pay? Do they expect to just sit there for ever?

The problem is proving what was said at the time 4 years ago, would be very difficult and not worth the risk. It plays 4k on the TV, just not via HDMI as you need. It's a tough one but I personally wouldn't risk as it's word vs word. Just chalk it down to experience.

I think you will struggle to prove it with so long passing between delivery and the warranty passing. A report wouldn't prove where the damage occurred, just that it is damaged. If it were delivered damaged to me I would have been straight back onto them. Might just have to put this one down to experience seeing as you kept forgetting about it. -
Amazon suspended Prime next day delivery, not told anyone though.

Hi all, I ordered things yesterday online, I selected next day delivery, but when I have just checked now, they aren't estimated to arrive until Friday? Something I ordered today is also due to arrive Friday and not tomorrow. All were prime eligible products. So I jumped onto their webchat, and spoke to someone. Turns out they have suyspended next day delivery until they can catch up from Xmas and get their drivers back. In fact here is a snip from the web chat. "Ojas: I can truly understand your concern however as you must have been aware that we had loads of deliveries on Christmas season so the inventory at our fulfillment centers is revising so they are not getting shipped on the same day as they are placed. This is the reason the next day delivery is extended however please be assured that it will be in its original form once again in 2 to 3 days as all of our carriers are also returning back to work. Me: hmm so it's down to the fact you are behind on deliveries, that's fine as long as you say that Ojas: So please be assured that the prime one day delivery service will be in effect within a couple of days." Isn't this a breach of contract? A warning for anyone else expecting their deliveries they day after they are placed as usual.

Did you damage it? is that why Samsung want £56 to repair it as it's not covered by manufacturer's warranty? -

It's free for the first month, then you have to cancel. I always take, especially when taking things home in case of accidental damage on the trip or getting it in the house. Then I cancel it a few days later. I'm covered for the month and then it doesn't renew the next. Simples. -
I don't think a reservation of this type is any form of contract. How many people reserve something and then don't turn up to collect it? If the reservation meant it was paid for online, to collect in store, which the OP should have done really, then of course that is a contract.
