  2. hi,i had my £10 paid in on the 8th of dec, payment was made by DLA.Merry Xmas one and all.
  3. hi,im feeling very sorry for you 'lookinforinfo' you forget to display your blue badge and park in a disabled bay and you get a ticket?...makes my blood boil...we have a neighbour here where we live that parks in a disabled bay (blue badge holders only) outside her house and has never displayed a blue badge, i do know that her husband is disabled but i have never seen a badge displayed in any of the cars that family has had..and to my knowledge she has never had a ticket.ok i am a blue badge holder myself and i used the disabled parking bay but when that family moved here i lost use of the space, yes i could park there if she goes out..but i dont because of the bird mess that covers the car and it looks dreadful because a tree overhangs the parking bay..so as far as im concerned she can have it on those grounds alone, but i hope and pray she gets a ticket.in the meantime i hope you get your ticket canceled.
  4. hi,being a diabetic myself and have been for some years now,i have the 5 yearly card and its due to be renewed later this year, and i will be renewing it without fail, however as a back up (and for my wife’s prescriptions) we also have the HC1 certificate that covers us for free prescriptions and dental care.i do agree with 'scousepie' (above) this is nothing but a tax on the sick.
  5. well done Adam, and all the best to you...and to you C-W-K hope your medical goes ok for you.
  6. right due to a problem with windows xp..just 2 days before the support stopped...my pc gave me hell...i wonder why:-x.....so im now a Linux Mint user namely LM13 Maya.and its running very well..i found LM13 ran better on my motherboard etc than LM16 something to do with PAE..but hay..im happy:-D..i also have here the LM13 Maya KDE and i ran that as a live cd...very good desktop and very good all round.
  7. yes alot will depend what the user wants in the o/s it may not suit everyone, but i feel its well worth a try for myself anyway, i have nothing to lose using a duel boot system LM16 could turn out to be a friend.
  8. I have seen many good reviews regarding Linux Mint 16, and once april 8th is been and gone i may well use linux mint as a duel boot with my windows XP. i want to see how XP goes after the support ends on the 8th of april, i have used LM16 using the CD..and it does look good, im in no rush to change my operating system but i feel that at some stage im going to move over to LM16 at some point.
  9. i see..excellent..and good for you...i at one time refilled the cartridges myself with a kit,not done that for a few years now so i may well go back to doing that, although the 'internet ink' brand are also well worth buying.
