  1. Yes I am. Both companies sent me generic letters stating why they were not irresponsible and QQ even offered a measly £150 which I refused. So happy they have to remove most off my credit file, not perfect I know, but I feel it's a victory for me. Couldn't have done it without this site. Donation to follow.
  2. Hi just wanted to add, I got some advise on here in 2013 for payday loans. I paid them off, then complained to wonga and QQ. Both refused my claims stating credit checks were done and there was no irresponsible lending. Wonga agreed with the adjudicator and refunding all 12 loans charges and interest £1254 and remove all loans from my credit file, and QQ (who have been more difficult have agreed to refund 9 of my loan charges and interest, and remove these from my credit file. (I'm still trying to total this one up to make sure it's correct. So just to say it's worth the battle, if they turn you down take it to the ombudsman, so glad I'm out of this mess.
  3. Hope ur still around on here. Just wanted to update you. It's been a damn long road. But finally after going through all the channels, paying back the debt, then complained to both wonga and quickquid about irresponsible lending and not agreeing to set up payment plans I have some news. The financial ombudsman have just gave decisions on both, wonga are to refund all interest and charges on all 12 loans, add 8% interest on and remove all footprint from my credit file. #winner. Quickquid after denying my claims and telling me they done all the checks etc they should have and didn't do anything wrong, are to refund 9of 12 loans , all charges and interest and remove 9 loans off my credit file. My nightmare is almost over.
  4. Yes I have rang them, they are being incredibly difficult after seeming being eager to refund me. Just been on hold for over 18 minutes with them only for them to say my complaint is marked closed. Thing is they didn't respond in adequate time anyway, it took them 6 months!!!
  5. Any advise. I've had a payday loan from wonga which I paid off last year. I complained to wonga saying I thought they had landed irresponsibly lent to me. This was in October last year and they responded by saying they didn't have time to review my case in the 8 wk period, they would get round to it basically when they could , if I wasn't happy then I could contact fos. Then I get another email in April this year which was blank (not downloaded from server). I then got an email in April saying that I have not responded to their offer and I had 5 days to respond? I was puzzled as had not received an offer, which I replied I had only received email which said they could not review my case in October. No response from them. So today I'm going through all my old emails and the email from April had downloaded from the server reading that they have awarded in my favour and they landed irresponsibly offering me £1500 back. I would've responded straight away if I could read the original offer. Wonga are now saying that the case is closed, and they can't give me this money even after agreeing that they will. Anyone know if I can still go to the fos at this stage.
  6. I've just finished 15months of hell paying back 2 payday loans, one with wonga 3 days before the decision was made and I'm furious that because I've struggled to pay it off and I don't get any interest or fees back. I know other people aren't getting money back as such but it's getting wiped therefore they are gaining. I'm writing to wonga today underlining all the reasons why I would never have gotten a loan under the new lending criteria, then I'm taking it to the fos. I've had some interesting reading on there website of people in my situation who have had all there interest and charges back due to the affordability. Also why are wonga the only company to be doing this, cause I can say that quickquid are much worse than wonga and there will be many more but they they don't seem to be being held to account.
  7. Emailed both those addresses you gave me turkwyfe4lyfe no response as of yet. Fuming..........
  8. Had emails from wonga saying i now owe them £1396.51 and quickquid £1227.82 as my accounts are now 2 months in arrears. Only because of them, quickquid are saying they don't accept standing orders and i can only pay by direct debit and wonga keep telling me to go onto their website to arrange a repayment plan but every time i do the lowest monthly amount it gives me is £571 per month. I have offered both companies £100 per month but hey just keep saying i need to phone them. I'm getting really annoyed now. What do I do now? Any help appreciated. Thanks
  9. So I'm still not sorted. I got the CPA's cancelled and the money was refunded but both wonga and quickquid are ignoring me and insisting that I phone them which I have emailed saying several times stating i want the details of their sort code and account number and I will not speak over the phone. Wonga have added 200 quid onto my total and quickquid have not added anything yet. What do I do now. Also I got a new account that my wages etc get paid into to keep it safe, the other account which has the cancelled CPA's is the one i want to make these payments from but will the bank let me make a payment on that account when I have cancelled the CPA's..???? Don't want them to refund any payments i am trying to genuinely make. Thanks for any advise.
  10. Repayment plan sorted with wonga, just trying to get standing order details.
  11. Do you think it's worth putting a formal complaint into bank of scotland. I'm up for a long and lengthy fight with them.
  12. Mindy1 i will let you know if I hear anything. Let me know if you do, wil you.
  13. So I called the bank today and they're saying that my request to cancels all CPA's is in a queue with card disputes, and because I phoned them on a bank holiday weekend the CPA's that have been taken will not be refunded. I was told on Sunday that my cancellation date was Sunday and all payments would be refunded immediately. Then she said that i had to phone both companies and request that they fax a letter to the bank telling them i could have the money back? I said I wouldn't phone them as they can say anything and they want their money regardless to which she replied, what were the circumstances that you took out these loans! You can't benefit from a loan and then expect the bank to sort out your problems. Bank are now saying it will take 2-8 days for the payment to show on my account and even then it's unlikely I'll get any where. What now.?
  14. Do you pay wonga by standing order? I've pretty much done the same as you rolling over but I'm fed up paying all the interest. Still no replies from wonga or quick quid. Will probably hear when I get the money refunded though. If quick quid have no bank account then how do they run. Seems like a way to try to get your bank details from you.
