  1. HSBC Merchant services took our terminal away as we refused to pay £18.000 for the priviledge to keep it. Our business has been using HSBC services since 2003 but in 2011 they decided we were a"high risk business". We had been operating exactly in the same way since 2003 so where this came from, we still don't know. Our business was closed due to this punitive demand leaving the bank with a £26.000 debt. Since we have been sent from pillar to post. We are claiming loss of earnings, and the loss of our business. At the age of 30 you can get another job or start a new company but at the age of 63 it is a different kettle of fish. Not good. Does anyone know under which body the HMS come under? So far they have been able to riggle out of everything. They are not responsible for the debt and the bank is not responsible for the HMS. Catch 22
  2. Hi I see these are fairly old treads. I changed from my existing insurance to Barclays as they were offering contents half price. I should have known you get nothing for nothing and my insurance is not worth the paper it is written on. I had water damage after gusts of wind (just under 55 mph) and continuous rain. My roof is less than 6 years old but Asprea refuses to pay. It is not storm damage so it comes under "maintenance". My living room wall needs repainting so does this come under escape of water? They certainly did not mention this. I am however insured for wedding presents and religious events. This is compulsory by the way. What a joke.
