  1. so just a quick update... Still no payment made to my account. HSBC have done everything in their power to delay paying me First issue was the signature on my acceptance form didnt match the one they had one file from over 10 years ago! had to go into the branch to change it! Second issue, They had to verify my identity because of money laundering purposes so had to take my passport back up to the branch although they had this on file from the very start of my claim! Then I failed the verification process because my passport had my middle name on it and the bank dont have that on their system! God give me strength Had to go into the branch and change my name. Calling for updates...being told to call back after 3-5 working days for a update. I wonder whats next.... Please keep your fingers crossed for me!
  2. Thanks for the reply. its looking quite positive Im almost certain it was sold on. It started with metropolitan collections which I know are hsbc then it went to DG solisitors which again are in house fpr hsbc. Nows it's with 1st credit and has been for a number of years. I can't find any link with them and hsbc. Im so hoping this goes my way. I'm a struggling working parent of 3 and this will help us greatly!
  3. Hi All, any ppi experts around? I took out several loans and a credit card with hsbc 15 years ago and unfortunately defaulted and still to this day have not paid it off its currently with 1st credit as was sold to them by hsbc some years ago. I have no payment plan in place have not actually heard from them in over a year. I decided to claim for ppi and ive just had a letter from HSBC offering my 4k and ive sent back my bank details in order for them to transfer the money to me. My question is... will they use the money to pay the money towards what i owe 1st credit? Many thanks in advance.
  4. because this debt is on my credit file but with a different date of birth, apparently when you apply the look in detail at all your debts and this cant be mine because its not the correct dob, i cant exclude it from my creditors as its on my file
  5. yes ill get in contact to ask, i wonder if i could email them. I get terrible anxiety on the telephone and i was spoken to like a criminal yesterday i nearly had a panic attack! cant believe this is happening i was so relived when they recommended i get a dro it felt like a weight had been lifted but it back again
  6. Im tempted just to borrow some money off my parents to pay it off, if we are talking months before its resolved Its the only thing stopping me from applying for the dro, until this is sorted i cant proceed.
  7. no idea they didn't mention anything about payments being made
  8. Hi, Im wondering if anyone out there can give me some advice on my problem. I have been advised by step chance to apply for a DRO due to a very high debt that i just cant afford to pay off, upon searching my credit file I came across a debt from NEXT stating i owe £89 now it was my name and address but a different date of birth? I dont ever recall opening a account with next so I was totally baffled, i called step change and they advised I call next to try to get some info as to what its all about. When I called them they claimed the account was set up at the time i moved into my property and orders were placed, the account is in my name but a totally different date of birth. I explained i did not set up this account and they were questioning who was living in the property who had access to my details ect, the only people that could have was my ex boyfriend and my child minder neither i speak to anymore. Ive had no correspondence what so ever from next regarding this, they claimed i must have got statements but in all honesty i cant really remember getting anything, I have had so many debts building up for years ago, i get all sorts of letters that i have ignored in the past Am i liable for this debt? I need to get it off my credit report before i can apply for the DRO. They have said they have set up a investigation but i could take some time, ive stressed the urgency of it all they said was they would be in touch. Any advice on where i stand with this? Many thanks

  10. im not saying i dont owe them i reakon i probably do what shall i do with regards to the letter asking to provide my dob ect?
  11. hehe @ shove their request well i have stood strong and i cancelled the dd 2 days later i got a letter saying a person would be visiting dont want to call them but cant fin an email address for them (its ccs) i can tell them to persue the debtor not me as i think ive probably paid my fare share anyway!! so with regards to wescot trying to wangle info out of me what shall i do?? ignore reply?? the letters stares: further to your recent communication in order for us to prevent a breach of data protection act and also continue with your enquiry it would be most helpfull if you could confirm your d.o.b and the last adress together with the date you vacated?? please reply within 10 days...what shall i do? thanks for your reply
  12. oh and another one got back a debt with bt (actually my sister in laws debt when we lived together!) they said theres no credit agreement to show?? i was paying them £10 a month as although the debt is in her name we shared the bills and they wouldnt leave me alone hounding me to pay
