  1. Hello, I bought a television on Friday via the Curry's website. The order went through fine and I was offered a delivery slot and all seemed fine. The money was deducted from my bank account. On day of delivery no confirmation received. After endless automated phone calls I finally managed to speak to a real person. I was told my order had been cancelled due to purchase not being consistent with my spending activity!! I am told I will be refunded in due course but this is totally bizarre. Anyone else had any horror stories with this company? Charlie
  2. Thanks for the reply. Yes I know that link as per my first post states that UC is a tax free benefit. However HMRC state the complete opposite in their link: https://public-online.hmrc.gov.uk/lc...mplate=P50.xdp My problem is that HMRC state the JOB Centre will issue my tax rebate due, because I am now on UC - having been made redundant. However the JOB Centre state HMRC will issue it because UC is not taxable. It is bonkers. Cannot be that an unusual circumstance I am in.
  3. I have been trying to find out if Universal Credit is classed as a taxable benefit. The two main government bodies contradict each other. UK Govt. as per below link advice UC is NOT Taxable https://www.gov.uk/income-tax/taxfree-and-taxable-state-benefits Whilst following link from HMRC states the complete opposite. https://public-online.hmrc.gov.uk/lc/content/xfaforms/profiles/forms.html?contentRoot=repository:///Applications/PersonalTax_iForms/1.0/P50&template=P50.xdp Any advice would be appreciated and I need to claim a tax rebate but form asks which taxable benefits I have received. I was under impression that UC was NOT taxable but HMRC say it is in contradiction to most other public resource information.
  4. Hello, I was hoping for a little advise regarding a PPI claim against Barclaycard from any experts on these matters. The current status is that the Financial Ombudsman Service found in our favour and recommended to Barclaycard that our claim should be fully upheld and reimbursed accordingly. The basis of our claim was that Barclaycard were guilty of systematic selling of our PPI, they had implied our application for the card would be more successful should we take it out, a familiar and well established tactic. Barclaycard however have rejected the FOS initial findings and appealed against the FOS decision. The reason Barclaycard cite is that along with the application for the card comprehensive information regarding the PPI was included within a leaflet in the application package. We asked Barclaycard to produce a copy of this leaflet, they said they cannot due to passing of time. That is where we are currently. I was hoping someone could advise what is likely to happen next: 1. Are the FOS likely to change their mind? 2. Will the FOS make a final decision which Barclaycard cannot challenge? Thanks, Charlie
  5. Sounds like a classic case where you need to make a complaint to the FOS about an individuals handing of a case within the FOS - ie exercise your right of appeal. Make a complaint to the OFT also, they have far more power to actually put these people out of business..
  6. Hello Shaza, Firstly do not worry – try and relax. It would be very stupid of Wage Payment and Payday Loans Limited t/a Payday Overdraft to start harassing anyone. The first thing to do is forward on the correspondence you have received to the OFT investigating Micro Lend Ltd to: [email protected] Mark the first line of your text: FAO: Team investigating Mirco Lend Ltd, Unit 3, Colindale Business Park, 126 Colindale Avenue, NW9 5HD. Tell the OFT you have received a multitude of demands for payment from a company claiming to have been assigned the loan book of Micro Lend and you are unsure if you should pay this company in respect of the on-going investigation in the Micro Lend. I would be very surprised if the OFT would approve the loan book to be passed from one dodgy lender to one equally as dodgy with an appalling history of breaches against their guidelines. I mean what is the point of the OFT closing down Mirco Lend if the loan book is just passed to an other unscrupulous lender. There may even be some links between Mirco Lend and Wage Payment and Payday Loans Limited t/a Payday Overdraft. Although not easy to prove. This could be an attempt by the owner of Mirco Lend aided and abetted by someone else he knows in the industry to get around the OFT suspension. The most important thing though is to make the OFT aware what is going on in case they do not know.
  7. Hello, They simply traded as Micro Lend UK Limited. (Micro Lend) There are lots of articles online if you care to google them. Best regards, Charlie
  8. MICRO LEND Micro (Unit 3, Colindale Business Park, 126 Colindale Avenue, London, NW9 5HD) http://www.oft.gov.uk/news-and-updates/press/2014/11-14#.UyMMQfl_t8E Good news one of the worst most aggressive and abusive lenders has finally had its wings clipped by the OFT. Without giving too much away the evidence the OFT has is so overwhelming that closure is a certainty pending any miracle. It is fantastic news that these companies are now suspended from operating in examples such as this. A big thanks to everyone (You know who you are) that also stood witness statement against these less that desirable characters.. If anyone is interested the local news paper in the area this company traded are interested in hearing anyone with horror stories to add to their portfolio. Please contact: Mr Daniel Obrien (Whetstone & Barnet Press) [email protected] Charlie
  9. Most of the loans issued by the Lyndhurst Terrace Mob had clauses stating interest would be charged indefinitely on outstanding balances, usually at a rate of 18 pounds each two week period per 100 owed. This is why people end up being told they owe thousands. So if you cannot pay on time, even for plausible reasons, they will simply charge you this amount each 14 days, forever in theory.. I say clause in the loosest sense as it is more a chart which the contract half refers to. [This is of course not enforceable. (Hence why they have never taken anyone to court) Sad thing though is that the vermin at the likes of Marshall Hoares and NDR will have convinced many poor souls up and down the country these charges are legitimate and lives will be ruined paying never ending interest against vile threats. May I ask who your original loan was with? Charlie
  10. Toothfairyfinance.com is a trading name of Web Loans Processing Limited so yes you are right technically speaking any payments should be made to Web Loans Processing. That said, of course Web Loans Processing - Cim Tech - Toothfairy - NDR - Marshall Hoarses are all one and the same, all are registered at company house to the infamous 15 Lyndhurst Terrace. I would write to: info at webloansprocessing dot com and ask for written clarification why your payments are being made to discredited company (Cim Tech) that as far as you are concerned do not hold your debt and copy in the FOS. Brgds, Charlie

  12. The OFT team compiling a case against NDR/MH have already been advised of this and seemed very interested in the link back to the Toothfairy case. That said it is a bid dissapointing the OFT cannot work this our for themselves as all the evidence is there in the public domain showing beyond all doubts Larholt has an array of different companies committing the same crimes his original ones have already been reprimanded for. That said lets hope the net is closing although it is little consolation to the many vulnerable people whose life's have been ruined by vile threats and intimidation often paying of more than 15 x what they originally borrowed. Any TV production company really should go after this shower as they are by far the worst offenders. Best regards, Scott
  13. CIM TECHNOLOGIES - WEBLOANSPROCESSING - NDR - MARSHALL HOARES Anyone that follows these forums will know that in relation to Toothfairy Finance – CIM Technologies were heavily censored by the OFT (Please see below) What is astonishing is that CIM Technologies are now registered at company house to the same address as NDR, Marshall Hoares & Webloansprocessing. (The infamous 15 Lyndurst Terrace, NW3 5QA) I am no lawyer but surely the OFT ruling below is being breached with all these companies being run by the same people masquerading as different companies. (ie NDR & Marshall Hoares - 2.1 disclose the details or existence of a debt to any third party unless legally entitled to do so; 2.2 levy charges that are disproportionate to the main debt and which do not reflect the actual and necessary cost of recovering a debt owed to it; 2.3 pressure debtors who have defaulted on an agreement to pay unreasonably large instalments when they are unable to do so; Good god if you check webloansprocessing website they seem reputable and have even won industry rewards!!! CIM Technologies Limited shall only use a form of communication where it can be reasonably certain that it is contacting the correct individual and shall not: 2.1 disclose the details or existence of a debt to any third party unless legally entitled to do so; 2.2 levy charges that are disproportionate to the main debt and which do not reflect the actual and necessary cost of recovering a debt owed to it; 2.3 pressure debtors who have defaulted on an agreement to pay unreasonably large instalments when they are unable to do so; 0 r 2.4 make any misleading representations as to the action it might take or might be taking to recover a debt. 3. 14. The situation is that the OFT are finally preparing a case against Marshall Hoares, NDR and hopefully parent company Webloansprocessing. I myself have provided witness statement of the following examples of breaches listed below. Others affected should try and provide similar examples and address to: | debt collectionicon Team| (Investigating Marshall Hoares/Northern Debt Recovery/Toothfairy) Corporate Services | Office of Fair Trading Fleetbank House | 2-6 Salisbury Square | London EC4Y 8JX | T: 0 20 7211 8863 [email protected] FAO DEBT COLLECTION TEAM INVESTIGATING Marshall Hoares - Bailiffs/Northern Debt Recovery/Toothfairy/Webloansprocessing REMEMBER WE CAN ONLY GET THESE PEOPLE STOPPED IF WE SUPPORT SUCH CASES. 1. Marshall Hoares bailifficon s– Anti-Fraud example I believe using the word ‘Fraud’ when no such act has been committed constitutes an act of intimidation. Using the word ‘bailifficon’ falsely gives impression of powers beyond a mere DCM. 2. Email Sequence 1 – Examples of: · Casual explanation why telephone harassment letters was ignored. · Marshall Hoares bailiffsicon writing to me stating Northern Debt assigned as recovery agents. Contradicts statement from Web Processing limited. · Misleading Quotes to likely actions to follow. · Pressure to Pay more than can afford · Intimidation. · Charges levied that a disproportionate to main debt. 3. Breach of Data Screenshots illustrating that I can log into Toothfairyfiance.com and find details of my loan. Note my loan was Pay Check Credit. (MCO Capital) This proves that loans held by disgraced company MCO Capital (Struck off by the OFT) are being administered by Toothfairy Finance. (Also heavily fined in the past) They have even been stupid enough to add the Pay Check Credit logo to their website once logged in.(See screen shot 3) 4. Email Sequence 2 Further examples of various misdemeanours most notably 3 different companies pursuing the same date in close proximately 5. Marshall Hoares Email Isolated example of unreasonable and threatening tone. 6. Northern Debt Recovery Example of correspondence suggesting and or implying they have court powers designed to intimidate 7. telephone callsicon Proof that I am frequently being contacted by telephone despite insisting all corresponding should be in writing and having sent a telephone harassment letter to MHB on various occasions as per email sequences. (Note they somehow use a local Aberdeen number to me to make the calls '01224 931013' However if you ring this number it does go through to Marshall Hoares. 8. Text Messages Scans of text messages confirming both Northern Debt Recovery & MHB are harassing me about the same debt. (Note recent dates of text very close to each other.) Best regards, Charles34c
