  1. Bayv paid for the collection have to ring them later today for an update will be sure to mention the fact that the driver watched me pack the laptop
  2. Hi, I didn't think to take any photos however because it was collected by dpd early in the morning I had to pack it in it's box at the front door as the collection driver was waiting and he watched me pack it....

Just need a little help understanding how buy as you view insurance works. 2 years ago we purchased a laptop for our daughter for college work and so forth we owe under one year on it we pay regular via direct debit the princely sum of £15 a week or thereabouts. A couple of months ago the laptop failed to load correctly I telephoned bayv who informed me that because of the insurance's we have it will be collected and repaired, a week later it was returned after having a new hard drive, but it was so very unresponsive, another telephone call and again collected and sent to valuetech for repair the report stated the charger cable was split so we purchased a new charger from them at £29.99. The laptop it now back there again after failing to load, a friend of mine says it's a software fault but I packed the laptop in its original box with the original packaging the new charger is stored in a separate compartment of the box away from the laptop. The customer service team have said I need to claim for accidental damage for the smashed screen and damage to the charger port. The laptop left this house in as new condition (with a operating system fault) but cosmetically as new. They are now asking me to pay for the damage or they will just return it with out being repaired. Why should we have to pay for the damage that even the customer service team say was probably caused in transit. How can I claim the insurance's back we have been bayv customer's for around 9 years.

  5. dadofholly i rang a brief because the figures didn't make sence to me and posted everything to them they rang me constantly telling me they were either going to get the outstanding debt squashed but i needed to pay them £300 up front which i dont have. never received anything from the cca request. sorry guys but am now so fed up with it all its making me ill i am even unplugging the phone now cos they aint got my mobile number
  6. thanks dx do i print them all off and send them to welcome? i will tell you whats happened, a couple of weeks ago i recieved a call from a branch of welcome and the person i spoke to agreed with that the interest rate was wrong and after paying a pound to keep the account from going to a dca the person said they would send all the info to head office to ask them to review it. i recieved a rather nasty letter from head office this week saying that i was wrong to have raised these concerns and that the oridginal documents and intrest rates will still stand (i have not typed this out word for word)
  7. well the soliciter will not take on the case and even if they did i dont have £300 to give them think the next time they ring i am just going to give up and agree a payment scheme just to get them off my back, what with welcome finance and my wife extremely ill its getting a bit to much now

Hey guys not been here for a while due to wifes health and looking after her full time, still having loads of probs with welcome they keep ringing asking me to pay a pound over the phone to stop the debt going to a dca, gettin proper ****ed with it they now saying that they never sent me a pre agreement even though i did post it on here and sent them a copy

  10. it gets better because they are saying they have a copy of the contract on file, however when i signed for the car the only paperwork i signed was the 3rd page of the pre-agreement the rest came throught the post.....
  11. took your advice and recorded the call, firstly i want to know if anybody knows a solisiter that will take the case on, second they are now saying that its my fault because the contract i signed was a pre agreement but they are going to look into the matter, it sounds like the wrong information was handed to me is what they are saying, if thats the case there should be no contract between welcome and myself
  12. i am not very good at this but the one thing i have learned is dont speak to them on the phone! send a letter to stop the phone calls found in the cag library. everything by letter at least you will have a paper trail
