  1. Just been awarded my final payment due to me from my BOS account which amounted to £1440 with the previous awards the money was into my accout as soon I had the letter stating that they wouldnt defend the case. The final win took over 6 days to reach my account which strangly enough was the same date my overdraft came up for renewal !! guess what no overdraft ! so basically they kept the award to repay my overdraft. When i questioned them they stated they wouldnt cancel my overdraft because of my claim but I have letters stating it was due for review in June !!. So now im getting my own back with a further claim for return of fees going back past the 5 year limit. So please dont count of this money if you have an overdraft on your account.
  2. dont knock it Scott just enjoy your rewards I had to fight all the way with them maybe there starting to cave in ! now its time for everyone to get their money back before its too late. Alan
  3. I have just settled my third and final claim against the bank of Scotland I had gone throught the proper procedure right upto court papers one week before the case was due to be heard I got a letter from Leed explaining that my claim had been previously settled in full and all future charges would stand. Luckly I had keep all the previous letters then sent after reading it serveral time I was convinced that it said nothing of the sort I send them a copy of the letter by recorded delivery and guess what they paid out 2 days latter !!!. Please keep all correspondace and read all letters carefully incase they try to shaft you to.
  4. can anyone give me some advice. I have just received a letter from bank of Scotland telling me that they are not defending my summary cause proceedings ( yipee ) should I now go ahead and start another summary cause for the remander of my claim straight away or do I need to give the bank the oppertunity to pay back the outstanding amount.
  5. thank you for your advice had to reserve papers as I only had 4 days to have them served ( please check your calling dates on the papers !) got another date thanks to the helpfull people in the civil office Paisley sheriff courts roll on November, money will come in handy for christmas.
  6. Just received the court papers form 1 and 1b back from the sheriff court with a return and hearing date but nothing reguarding how I get these papers served help please.
  7. I have taken the big step now of filing my summary cause against the bank of Scotland, the staff at my local sheriffs court were brand new helping me getting my forms sorted ( please make sure you use form 1 and 1b for bank claims not 1a !) now im waiting for the papers to be returned to me. I was told that I cant just send the papers to the Bank that has to be done by a solicitor or sheriffs officer. Does anyone know how you contact the sheriffs officers is it just a matter of turning up at their office with the papers and how much is that likely to cost. big Al

  13. Hello to all on the CAG I look foward to turning the tables on the banks and some of my hard earned cash back of their profits and back to where it belongs ! One question I have come across after viewing the last few years bank charges, I have been charged an account maintenance charge of £15 per month rising to £28 for going over my overdraft limit can this be charged back as well as excess O/D charges, returned D/D charges etc or is this a ligimate charge. Thanks Alan
